Thanks for taking the video and posting it! I was to your left off the line. It was the gnarliest conditions!!! You rode well! My group is feeling the same as you! I felt like I was taking my bike for a walk through the woods instead of taking it for a ride! Keep the videos coming see you at the next race!
That was one tough race. Got me really exhausted. Never raced in the mud before, but I am happy I did it :-) It felt so good to finish :-) Thanks for making this video.
That was my first ever hare scramble. Had an absolute blast but also felt dead during my 3 lap. Took everything in me to finish. Ended up doing pretty well though for my class. The ruts def got pretty gnarly!
So glad to hear that you finished! You will have a great year because that mud race is physically the hardest of the year. We have a lot of tough courses but the mud is the most physically Demanding. See you at Muskegon!
Congrats. No way I survive that race this early in the season. Looked like a tough one. Every time you got a rhythm going, you had to pull off for the big boys. Makes it tough.
Kinda bummed I didnt make it to this race, kinda looked fun, but also exhausting. So probably not the best for my first race anyways. Definitely plan on making it to Muskegon 100%
I got tiring, constantly fighting the bars. As for the trail being slipper I didn't feel it, but that might be cause I'm running a intermediate/hard terrain front and the rear is running 3psi. The moto track was super slimy too. Anything off the main line was like wading through goo 6 inches deep. Thus was my first taste in Open B class. And if this shows anything, it's gonna be a year full of back of the pack riding.
They both have their pros and cons. Most of the time 2-stroke but in certain situations a 4-stroke. I sold the 4-stroke so it's going to be a 300 braaap from here on out!
you keep saying you struggled but I thought you rode well considering the conditions. The guys passing you were much faster I'm assuming A riders that were coming back around... I think you picked off a fair amount of other riders, taking good lines, carrying momentum.
Hey man. Just moved to northern Michigan and would love to find a race around the traverse city area to toy around with! Shoot me a message if ya have any leads to any open races anyone can sign yo for

You’re not wrong, that was a brutal one.
I can’t wait for Muskegon. Hopefully no rain.
See you at Muskegon 🤝

I was just happy to finish that one! What a ride.
Good job finishing.

nice to hear that TBI running cleanly in the slow stuff.
🤙
Thank you for your help
Looking good there bud. Perfect day for team racing... haha
Ya, I might have died if I was racing solo. 😂

Basically the entire wood section was one continuous rut. I agree that it felt like I was wrestling the bike the whole time
Me too 🥵

Keep pushing. I'm terrible in mud but the conditions should be more favorable from here on out! 🤙
@Captain250FX i dont know, man. I'd prefer mud, then tons of dust.. at least mud, I can usually see
Awsome great video
✌🏽
Like the 2 stroke better than the 4 for these scrambles?

I ride on that slick clay a few times a year and I hate it.
Me too
Is this a trail that’s open to public? If so where is it or the trail head parking?
This is private. It was a hare scramble.
Wonder if I could ask you about your set up for your GoPro?
What you want to know?
Was wondering, what kind of GoPro you have, where do you have it mounted and do you have a case around it?
@@TooslowKTM gopro 11 and I have it chin mounted. No case you don't need it.
Thank you. I watch your videos all the time. Helps with training. Battle Creek was rough. I’ve never ridden in mud like that before
@@TooslowKTM ya, I struggle in the mud too.
I was so tired after trying to lift my bike out of that rut. Should have kept my head up to see the rut and avoid it or hit it with momentum
Battle Creek is so brutal, every year.

Can anyone tell me if they check for spark arrestors? I plan on racing fathers day at valley trail riders
No spark arrestor needed for racing.
It was TOUGH!! I am BEAT today. War of attrition
🤝
Can I ask what video editor you use to make your videos?
Imovie
U have an Apple?
Does your go pro record in 11 min sections?

Go on the district 14 website. There is a sprint enduro and a hare scramble at 10 pines Ranch in Mancelona, Michigan which is up there by traverse.
@@Captain250FXwhat’s the difference between sprint enduro and hare scramble? Thanks!

@@worldwide1873 sprint is as fast as you can ( Sprint ) and Hare Scramble is more of an endurance race. I like both.
It looks treacherous to me lol
It was 🥵
One of the toughest I've done. It was so slick and the ruts were crazy deep!
Definitely not just you. That sucked!
Thank you, I was still questioning myself. 😂
