Phillip Schofield changing places with John Leslie kind of foreshadowed what was to happen a year later when he replaced him on This Morning!
Also, rather spookily, Des O'Connor got a question where the answer was Des Lynam. Both hosted Countdown, with O'Connor being the successor to Lynam.
Actully the foreshadowing turned out to be a lot more grim....
The legendary William G Stewart. The best quiz show host!
Lawyers were sweating getting this lot together in a tv studio.
RIP Wogan, Parsons, Beadle, O'Connor, Winton and of course G Stewart
Winton's dead????? No way
John Leslie, Phil Schofield, Jeremy Beedle, Dale Winton. Man what a motley group
You forgot to add Bradley Walsh there.
are all here to play Fifteen to one children in need special
Actually a decent a lineup, all known TV personalities of their time. You'd struggle to get a similarly well-known lineup today.
With Alan Dedicoat as background voice.
Who would have thought Beadle would be the first one to pass away when there was older players in this team
