@@DesmoWerx hello - actually looking for instruction on the disassembly of the loom itself so that i'm left with just tach / temp and ignition switch. essentially the same tutorial you did for the rear loom to the ECU. thank you for following up!
Hello Desmo, many thanks for your awesome videos & content ! 👏 With reference to this video in particular, i.e. adding an oil cooler to a Ducati that didn't come with one - will this work on a 2012 Ducati Monster 696 ? The lower case on my 2012 Monster 696's engine has the two "plugs" for oil output & input & even the frame has the brackets for an oil cooler. I have an oil cooler from a 2012 Monster 1100 Evo - just wanted to know if I should be wary of anything while fitting it to my 696 ? Any pearls of wisdom are appreciated 👍
I have never specifically done it on a 2 valve as most of my work until recently has been working/modifying 4 valve engines. But if its the same as for the conversion on the 4 valve it may be possible, all you are doing is extending the oil path/route by adding a cooler, it would obviously use slightly more oil at each fill up.
hi your videos are excelent ijust watched you fitting the oil filter adaptor /i have just fitted a oil cooler to my 853 track bike but did not know about that mod could you tell were i can purchase one cheers trevor
Hi, thanks for the excellent content. Couple of questions: 1. If not mistaking Ducati engines 2008-2011 did use oil coolant, but the engines from 2012 aand on, just use an other woter cooling radiator that is connecter in a row with the one above it. Why Ducati did this change if oil cooling is better? 2. Is it posible to remove the lower woter cooling radiator and set an oil cooling raddietor (as you set) on engines 1098 / 848 from 2012-2015? Thanks!
Hi Reuven, 1. They still retained oil cooling post 2012 on the Panigale it just moved to the side of the engine, interestingly most race bikes used a water cooled oil cooler rather than air cooling. 2. You can modify the cooling set up via after market suppliers, I assume you mean the engines on Multistrada's etc as the 1098 was not sold as a superbike from 2012.
Love the video. But I need to know can the original oil pump handle the oil cooler kit? Thanks for your time
hello sir! do you have a video where you show the stripping down of the front loom that goes to tach and temp gauge? many thanks in advance as always.
Hi Ryan, do you just mean removal or the disassembly of the loom itself?

HI Trevor,
You can get the oil cooler bypass from an official Ducati dealer, alternatively they come up on Ebay every once in a while.

HI Romain, they were on one of my other engines, I think they are from the 996RS engines originally
