@@reddwitdreadz after 4 months i went from 1k to 3k n just last week to 9k. It finally gave me the option to increase my limit. It wasn’t automatic i had to request it.

I would say AMEX Platinum is better than Capital one Venture card. 100k points when you spend $6k within 6 months and $1,500 in perks, 5x points for every dollar spent on airfare and hotel. But the downside? That damn $695 annual fee… sheesh... but as a traveler myself, its an awesome card! P.S- the card is made of metal so thats pretty cool 😎
So glad I watched this because I got some information from you that other tubers never mentioned, like that form if you're requesting over a 25K limit. Much thanks.
Credit line increase isn’t a option on the website or app. I have a 2 year account blue cash card. I checked the website and app is not available as a option. I called customer service earlier today. The rep told me credit line increases can only be done over the phone. She said it would be a hard pull as well.
I've gotten credit limit increases recently online. Also, I have my credit frozen soI don't get hard pulls for credit limit increases from Amex, Capitol One, Navy Federal, nor Discover. All high dollar. I've even gotten a new credit card with Amex as recently as yesterday without removing the credit freeze. Amex doesn't do hard pulls to open new cards if you have an established account.
I request from $7,600 to $15,000 which made my total credit limits with Amex come to $34,600. I may or may not be approved for more increase if I tried, but I really wanna keep the total credit limit with Amex under $35,000 which is the amount that a lot people are mentioning that triggers the financial review.
I got the EveryDay card with a $1000 and at 95 days and went from $1000 to $3000, and a few days later, I saw I was eligible for another one and went to $7500. I opened up a Blue Business Plus card and was eligible for $2000. I also went and applied for the Cash Magnet and got $1000 and sent $3200 to the Magnet the same day I was approved from the EveryDay and now I have $4200 total on the Magnet and $4300 total on the EveryDay and $2000 on the Blue Business Plus. Altogether $10,500 across all 3 CREDIT cards on Amex and not still including my personal Green card that on that one has $4000 spending limit. I'm good asking for credit limit increases anytime soon anyway.
No but to be sure, you should always freeze your credit with each bureau first. Freezing your credit is also a great way to prevent people from getting credit in your name without you knowing it. It takes 2 minutes.
Man its crazy how you find info after you've learned it the hard way... I got annoyed waiting over these past 2 years slowly bumping up my credit limit every 6 months so I said screw it I'll start looking at travel cards, got approved for 3 cards in the past month. On the plus side I've at least doubled my total limit, on the downside now I have 3 more cards.
should've waited lol. Have to be patient with these type of things. I waited 4 months with Navy federal before getting their premiere card the flagship. I built a relationship with them and I got a 25k limit. I just got an Amex gold letter in the mail. Soon as I hit 800 credit score they send me this. I'm goin to wait before I get one though. I'm debating on Platinum or Gold though.
I unfortunately have a balance on my AMEX and I requested a credit limit increase but was declined because they said I wasn’t making large enough payments. Yet I made at least the minimum payment or rounded up
Tried after 62 days. It said :You are not eligible to request a Credit Limit increase on this account because you recently opened an account with us. Please try again at a later date."
I have a question that I didn't see mentioned in this video or maybe I missed it... When you request the increase should your balance be at zero meaning should the whole card be paid off?
Hey I got approved for the Amex blue cash preferred last week I got 35k do you think this 3x will work for this card in 90+ days without triggering a financial review?
I am curious. Does this also apply to other banks, credit card issuers? Also I like your idea of opening a new Card then you can transfer credit limit between your cards

Besides a financial review, every card issuer usually has a max of credit for that card that they will allow anyway as well as a minimum
It's over 30k for one card which could trigger a financial review. I think over 35k on all cards.
