It’s actually not because there are only 30 and he made the mold and 3d printed or whatever with ABS plastic made it into real life and printed the prints on the torso and legs.
When your living situation is comfortable sometimes you able to spend a lot on a personal hobby. Say camera gear for me is the same $450.

Just spent a little more than that on the official Black Pearl set lol. It would be cool to do this project with other Lego game rosters, but the custom figs would be so difficult in comparison to TCS. Already seems hard enough.

@@dustyyshellz1320tbh i don’t understand the hype behind crisco either BUT i can’t deny he makes bangin TCS minifigs. idk why they are so expensive i guess due to limited runs. personally i have had great luck on ebay and other sights finding custom painted (on real lego) TCS style figs and have had fun adding them to my collection.

There are actually 126 main playable characters. And if counting the extra toggle characters (including the Wampa and the Rancor), 142. And also if counting the two custom characters (along with the 16 extra toggle characters) 144.

This is a really cool project, but $450 for a very unimportant character is absolutely ridiculous. There are tons of companies that make similar figures for way way cheaper, the fact that it’s 1 out of only 30 doesn’t make it better because that’s just artificial scarcity. The only reason they didn’t make more is to drive up the price. The reason they do that isn’t for “exclusivity” it’s so they can make more money while producing way less products (aka: a scam). It’s not even a fully custom figure either, they just printed on very common Lego pieces and made one custom piece and then charged you $450 for that tiny piece of plastic. There is no feasible way to justify that, only ways to cope with it. I’m sure for you it’s not a big deal because you make more money with the videos than you spent on it, but you can’t honestly think that this will encourage more people to buy from them after showing us all the biggest ripoff in custom Lego history.
