a student of mine recommended I check out Choro music from Brazil, as I'm an English teacher, and a musician, and I absolutely love this genre, it wonderful, melodic, harmonic and upbeat! The clarinet is just one of the instruments with some much character, earthy, woodsy and playful! And who doesn't like a little accordion action!
No offenses on her israeli background (for which I'm sure she must be fairly proud and happy for have it), but MAN, SHE'S SO BRAZILIAN! And a talented one, gives color for the phrasing... So beautiful played!

Very interesting I think this instrument is Oriental instrument From Turkey and some Arabics Countries use this instrument Also it is used in Algeria in a kind of music Traditional music in the capital Algiries; its name is " el hawzi music "
I not only love the irrepressibly happy music but also the fact the camera does not move for the whole performance - none of this drunken-sailor cinematography which seem to be pervasive.
Yall should look into doing a video onna Samba De Roda and Capoeira Music. They might not be of harmonic intrest for this page but rhythmically theres alot to be discussed. Samba de Roda is also the Roots of Samba as well and both styles are related to the Afro Brazilian culture in Brazil which produced a great deal of what we consider tobe Brazilian culture. Similar to that of black culture in the United States
