    I had this same problem. What I found works best for me was, using the smaller 12*12 mat and adjusting your sliders to prevent movement. And when I need to make a bigger design I then switch back to the bigger mat that it comes with. I hopes this helps

    That cameo pro is nice. I've been doing all my work by hand with an exacto knife while educating myself on equipment. I like the option that the pro gives, it would be easier to satisfy orders for larger people with the ability to scale the graphics and also car decals. Yes, I'm as big as my car (I'm 6ft 290lbs and drive Honda Crz)😉😁

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m just now learning about those GCC machines. They are really insanely unbelievable. If I’m correct can’t you just load up the cutter with a piece of vinyl and the cutter reads the size of the vinyl before it cuts? You guys been holding out. I’m seriously thinking about upgrading just because that feature is worth making a video on.

    • @stealthgod801
      @stealthgod801 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adubbproductions lol. Yes it does read the width for you. Any time your design is too big or should i say too wide, Great Cut warns you and kicks you out of the (print/cut) screen so you won't accidentally send the job to the cutter.

    You can always use heat Gun to flatten your vinyl

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think that would work. A heat gun would heat up your vinyl but there is nothing pressing it down to flatten it. To flatten something another device has to do the flattening. It would just be hot vinyl. Maybe melt or burn it but it would not flatten it.

    It's rolled up that way cuz suppose to be used with a cutting mat

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it’s not. It’s rolled up because that’s the most efficient way to ship it. Professional cutter/plotters with servo motors like the graphtec don’t use cutting mats they have roll feeders. When using one of those this is no longer an issue. They don’t have any parts for the vinyl to get caught onto.

  • @franknavasre
    @franknavasre 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The first thing you need to do is: USE ALL THE ATTACHMENTS that equipment have. You need to use the roll feeder to stabilize the vinyl roll, also you to set vinyl the other way to avoid the lifting. I think laziness is part of the deal……

    • @adubbproductions

      I have it. That still wouldn’t help with the roll curling up at the end that’s how they ship it. Next time I’ll have to lay it out flat the day before I use it or press it on a low temperature to flatten it out so it can feed in smoothly.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s better and more accurate to cut with a mat in my opinion but it is more cost effective to cut without a mat. In hindsight you can also save money utilizing a mat cutting small scrap pieces of vinyl that you would normally throw out. There is no way to cut those small pieces unless you place them onto a mat. Most small pieces are to small for both rollers to grab.

      @adubbproductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong. The cameo comes with a cutting mat but you don’t have to use it. That’s why it has a mini roll feeder. You can’t roll a cutting mat. Smh. 🤦🏾‍♂️ roll feeders are for rolls of vinyl cutting mats are for small scrap pieces that can’t be rolled. The issue is when using the roll feeder if you want to start at the edge of your vinyl the cameo has slots that the vinyl can get caught onto in which case you roll a little extra past that part so the vinyl does not get caught. Cut off the access and use your curing mat to cut on the smaller pieces. That’s what a cutting mat is for. You keep trying to play me in these comments but i got you anyway. It’s cool.

      @@Bobster986 Who said I was a professional. I thought we where talking about the cameo. So that’s what the real issue is, me. Not the cameo. I see. I’m not surprised. So what’s your issue with me? Why are you concerned with what I spend my money on? How does that impact your life or well being?

      @@adubbproductions nothing! It’s just that you said “the money it make me” inferring that you use it in a professional sense. If you’re not a professional, then why are you selling products made by your consumer vinyl (paper) cutter?

      You missed the entire point of the video. Brick vinyl. I’m showing people that it’s a great product and that they should try it out to help them make a little extra cash. Professional or not. What’s your issue with that? What’s the real issue Bob? Is it with me or the cameo. If it’s the cameo maybe you should contact Silhouette America. If it’s me let me know. What’s your issue with me? Am I the only one on TH-cam with a video about a cameo? Are you in their comments also? Or is it just me?
