I went to both Epica symphonic synergy shows at Amsterdam and it was brilliant. I travelled from Croatia and I would do it 100x again. Best gigs of my life.❤❤
Thank you for this amazing vlog. Those must have been exciting and exhausting days. It was great experiencing it with you. Next year I am going to Krakow in Poland and Zlin in Czech Republic for Tarja and Marko's concert. I've never seen Tarja's rock concert outside of festivals. And finally next year I will see Epica live for the first time at Metalfest. But I hope to see them at their solo concert as well.

Your visit was exactly on the day that all Leiden citizens can register for free herring and white bread, which is traditionally handed out on October 3, the official day of Leiden's Relief. So that is why there were the Geuzen boats along the canals.

Hello there! I did almost the same trip (Both Epica shows and Tarja & Marko in Frankfurt and Munich, plus Heilung) but traveling from the far Argentina... doubtless a lifetime experience, the places, the concerts but specially the people I met during the adventure 🤘
What a great vlog!!! We also were at the Epica concert on Thursday. What a fantastic show that was. I have seen many Nightwish and Epica reactions from EnterTheCronic but I didnt notice that you're from Vancouver Island. You have seen nice places in the Netherlands now like Utrecht, Amsterdam, Haarlem and Leiden. We luckily can say that we have seen Vancouver, Victoria, Butchart Gardens, Tofino, Campbell River and much more in 2004. We will never forget that journey. Have fun!!!
I am so amazed how far people travel for these shows. I live in The Netherlands, not far from Soest. I saw Floor too in Kasteel Soestdijk which is actually Baarn not Soest. ( I’m a mega big NW fan and Especially Floor Fan) I took my brother in law with me, he’s from Soest and was not particularly a Floor fan. Half way he exclaimed to me like “wow she’s good!” Now he’s fan too.
So glad you had a great time! I went to the first night of the symphonic synergy and it was everything i hoped it would be. I would've loved to go to Tarja and Marko, but that wasn't possible, so I' m a little envious of you. Btw, It's not the Dutch who have all these different names to describe the Netherlands and it's inhabitants, it's the foreigners who do. We just say Nederland and nederlanders.
I was also there in the Golden Circle on both days. My first Epica experience and that crazy moshpit on the second day. Even though I didn't want to be a part of it, still cost me my smartwatch. So some lucky bastard picked it up and walked away with it instead of taking it to the lost&found. I decided to stay for one more day and watch the Heilung performance in the same venue. Definitely something to remember. I guess you missed the Nightwish Yesterwynde listening party in The Cave after first Epica live.

Also, even I saw your filming I realized your were actually 3 meters away from me on the show (I saw myself in your video xD on 39:10) it’s a pity that I didn’t see you at that moment so I could say Hi! I traveled from Uruguay (11.300km) and I was in both shows as well :) Cheers!

Love the Dutch content too, like the places you visited, like Leiden and such, amazing. I think a seperate video on your experiences about the Netherlands would get a lot of views too (I know you're not like that kinda content probably, but just saying). 25:58 was AMAZING. I would've loved to see that (and hear that) haha. And yes, Geuzen, later the water-oriented people that helped A LOT during the first stage of the war of independance (the 80 years war) as the ''Watergeuzen'' with their boats, captured a city kickstarting the process that lead to our independance against Spain :)

The city you stayed in is Beverwijk, and you can pronounce Leiden as Lie-den. The syrup cookies are stroopwafels (too dangerous for people with a sweet tooth). The New York neighbourhood Harlem was named after Haarlem (just as Brooklyn was named after the Dutch town Breukelen).

what did you think about the concert ? i watched retrospect 1000000 times and i was at his concert, but i did expected more and better lighting etc. pyro though was insane ! Matrix was ridiculous !
I expected way more pyro on this show . They didn't even have pyro for unleashed and cry for the moon. Their was way more pyro at the show I was in Paris.

Had a golden circle ticket for the 19th and a normal admittance ticket for the 20th. Watched the livestream also 2 times. Go to TivoliVredenburg next week for Kamelot. Not a big Tarja fan to be honest. Was also at the 20th anniversary show from Epica and their show with Apocalyptica. Thanks for this vlog.
