Your enthusiasm about the TTR 230 is appreciated. We picked up two this year for a couple of our clan of riders (6 of us) and they are great bikes.

how long can you have the battery tender on it for? Also can you recharge a dead battery to have as a spare once you remove it to replace it with a new one or is that one gone for good?

Hey Canyon! I actually upgraded the springs in the front forks, I have filmed the video but didn’t put it together yet… I will jump on that, thank you!

Hey @Canyon sorry for the late few day response, Basically through a forums someone mentioned they got custom springs from racecraft.com. So I had emailed them that I had a “2020 ttr 230, I am 5”11 and weigh 160ib and dropped my phone number” they called me the next day took down my payment information and sent it out 3-4 weeks later for $175 in total, which was charged when they send it for shipping(3rd week).
When I did the swap I used a 15t weight fork oil(said to be stiffer than stock), I put 360 ml in each fork, that information I got off a forum. If you want to do this more accurately drain the fork oil into a plastic cup and put back that same amount.
I found this overall job very easy, If I could I would have asked for springs like 10-20 pounds more than what I am, but it is definitely much better and I also raised the rear shock which helped A LOT. They sell aftermarket rear shock for $450-$500 easy to install with adjustable gas chamber but I haven’t found this necessary after raising the rear. Which was a pain for some reason…. But good quality fork wrench’s is my recommendation there. I even took it out of the bike to adjust it. Sorry for this long explanation, hope this helps and everything works out for you!
