Just wanted to say how much I appreciated this series. These old cameras deserve this level of love and care.
I adore my SRT 101. It deserves a good CLA, but I’m going to experiment first on a 102 I found at an antique mall for $5.

Muy bueno, he aprendido algunas cosas. Saludos

When I reinstall the slow speed governor, I cannot move the shutter dial past 1/8th. It seems that the brass on the bottom of the dial is interfering with a part of it. Everything below 1/8th is shooting correctly, so I know I am putting it in somewhat of the right place. Have you encountered this? What do I need to be mindful of when reinserting the governor?
Thank you for posting this series! This has been super helpful

Amazing video! In my SRT 303 the coupling string for the shutter speed index is broken, any idea what I could use as a replacement string?

Thank you for the very detailed video, big help in getting a 100x restrung, where the tv string had come off the pulley. I have two semi-broken SRT's, and even being able to reference a correctly strung 101, this video helped a lot. Now my 100x is restrung but i think there is a flat coil spring in the box underneath all those pulleys that must be broken on the 100x as the aperture ring and iso dial ring dont 'spring back' like they do on the functional 101. My 101 is way rustier with more issues than the 100x so I may try to pull the functional spring out of that one and put in the 100x. Its been a fun learning experience.

Quick question (hope you see soon lol), when I install the self timer and the base plate to the camera, and I'm about to move onto the focus screen, I tried checking the timer like you did and the timer got stuck at 45 degrees. I could not budge it from there back to original position. I noticed that when you do it, the thin metal trigger you pushed up to engage before fully seating the base plate was back to the more down position. How did you do that? Mine stays engaged up. And if I wind past a certain point, it will click and the winder will only go to the 45 degree position after that until I unscrew the base plate again and reset/re-engage. I'm going to mess with it more today and hopefully get it to work like yours. I'm assuming the position of the shutter button/bar is in the way or something. Idk. we'll see. lol Thank you for all of this amazing content.

Hi, I have a SRT 100X, I can't seem to find any instructions for it. I am attempting to reattach the AV and TV strings, however, I do not have. pulley system like yours. Do you have any advice on this?
