Thank you for this excellent video. I would love to see a video about replacing the light seals in the front of the camera, i.e., the area around the ground glass. Thanks!

I was nervous about light ruining my next roll that I doubled up the channel seals one on top of the other. You think that will be ok? It has a little resistance to close but I kinda like that. Until now I’ve been taping up all the cracks with electrical tape after loading each toll

Hello, I watched all the videos of this camera, and the reason is that I have the same camera and it has a problem when I put the film in the camera, the film take up spool, the film is not pulled, knowing that the film advance lever works well, but it does not pull the film

Hello thanks for watching! Hmm let’s see here.. try this, with the back door open and no film in the camera engage the advance lever, check to make sure the sprocket (just right of the shutter) is turning counter clockwise while at the same time the take up spoon (the one on the right side that the film slides into) is turning clockwise. If one of these is not turning then something has happened internally and will need repair, if they are turning properly then it may be a loading issue.

Do you have any experience with konica autoreflex tc? I have an issue with the flash hot shoe. I cant find info by googling.

I have not had the chance to work on the konica autoreflex tc yet but I have come across hot shoe power issues in other similar cameras models like the Minolta SRT 202. I would first start by cleaning the contacts really good with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab, sometimes that’s all it takes. If that doesn’t do the trick further investigation will need to be done under the top cover to see if it’s possibly a disconnected wire, water damage or possibly a cold solder joint on the hot shoe. If I come across any resources for you I will attach them here, good luck!

@@aokcamera Ok thanks for the info. It worked before and then I took it apart. The problem I have is that I cannot remove the top plate. There is one screw that is so royally stuck that none of the usual tricks worked on it. What I'm wondering is that is the metal contact part supposed to be soldered to a wire or is it a press contact. It is weird shape for wire connection and there is no residue or anything suggesting that it was soldered.

Ah ok I see, it’s hard for me to say without having taken one apart myself but If you have access to a soldering iron I have loosened stubborn screws by placing the hot tip on the screw head for a few seconds 👍 this helps free up loctite too.
I’m interested to hear what you find out, good luck!

@@aokcamera Tried that and different solvents too. And tapping with a hammer. But thanks for the reply anyway 👍
