2 and a half years ago i cheated on my girlfriend, who i had been dating for a week, with a girl i dated for almost 6 years.
it was on an august night, and i listened to this song that same night.
we are together still, engaged and our son is going to be born in the next week or so.
if i wouldve crashed the car i wouldnt have the experience that im about to have. im thankful i didnt crash the car.
I remember when i first started listening to this album, i woke up in the middle of the night with my speakers still playing this album, i was still kinda unfamiliar with the songs but i woke up when "The night i drove alone" was playing and it was such a powerful felling i got from that song i think being half asleep and hearing that for the first time made it even better somehow i wish i could hear it for the first time again, its truly a great album all the way through, i appreciate it very much for what it is.

On days when my depression skyrockets, I listen to this song as a reminder of just how awful it used to be. It does get better, guys. It doesn't get easier or better immediately. It takes time. Remember that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Funny how this song was part of a 5 song setlist when I was in a dark place and ready to end it all. Now in 2024 I can listen to it just for the feels. Glad I was able to pull through my issues even without the help I thought I needed at the time. Just remember you can't always count on friends and family for help when you need it, but if your willing you can pull through on your own and become stronger for it!
