So did you just use gorilla glue or did you use any other sealants

I used gorilla glue on all of the joints, some silicone caulking around the inside corners and sprayed flex seal on the joints on the outside, then 2 coats of paint.
Technically if you are thorough with the gorilla glue and make sure all the joints are tight, the glue and a few coats of paint should seal everything. A lot of the cuts I made were pretty rough so I was paranoid about leaks, and that’s why I filled in some gaps with silicone caulking, then painted over that.

Nice boat mate, I want to give this a go. What wood did you use for the other parts? Did screwing through the floor of the boat affect how water tight it was?

I used 15/32 plywood, 1x12 white wood boards for the sides, and 1x4 and 1x2 spruce pine furring strips for framing and floorboards. Used gorilla glue to seat all joints and 1 1/4” deck screws.
Screwing through the bottom didn’t affect it. Screws that popped through from the top I sanded down and once I painted it it wasn’t an issue. The screws I put in from the bottom went into a board inside the boat that was sealed at the joint with expanding glue and was painted over at the end. So if you do it right and keep everything tight it won’t leak.
      Hope that helps! Good luck!

This was built wrong in many ways..please don't put an engine on it...won't hold up...if you used 2 x4. For the main framing...you get your front curve...plus some strength...why three feet wide...sheet is four foot...transom should be wider at the top...this adding strength to side walls...side walls should be 15 or 20 inch high...short or long shaft....1 1/2 deck screws to assemble...goop 11 as a glue and seal...seating and finishing left to do...if any questions..feel free to ask...I build from eight foot...to 16 foot cabin boat..its on here.

    • @mikedill7378

Re read this to start with...2x4 framing...15 to 20 inch sides....deck screws work well.

@mikedill7378 but would this be a good 2 person boat for a calm bayou or pond if using only paddle

@@marcuscurtis2049you can start by not listening to this person that person very obviously doesnt know what theyre talking about the taper on the gunnels/gunwales and transon of a boat are just keep water from splashing into the boat fom waves and wakes from other boats 2x4's for frame sure would make a boat a boat that small incredibly heavy
