This Onkyo is all it needs to have a complete audio and video latest solutions, I think it’s an amazing device for me because I can use it in all house and have also pre amps, it’s a very nice designed, I still miss the Integra quality and design too
This is very nice. Unfortunately I picked up the 830 under a year ago and not sure IMAX is a good enough reason to upgrade just yet. So far I am very happy with my Onkyo 830. I am running 704 S Bowers and Wilkins towers and sounds really nice on Stereo.
Hello, i've just bought my 3rd Onkyo amplifier and i have a question ( can't find a defenitive answer in forums ) it's the superb RZ840, i'm very happy with it, but i was wondering, what is the trick to change the main display information so it shows in what mode the stream is decoded ? on my older Nr717 i directly can see on-screen if it is DTS, DD+, Thrue HD or whatever. It does not on the RZ840 i understand that i can press "i" on the remote and check in and outputs, but that's not the same at all... i would like it to show by default in wich mode it is and not on wich source it is set. i hope you'll read me and even more, if it is not possible now, i really hope an update could be done with this possibility... and yes i did read the manual , p12 with the little logo's etc. and there's 2 lines about the display with no indication of this basic function...(as i undestand from forums it's similar with recent pioneer products...and many users are frustrated i have to say) Thank you
@@OnkyoEU I too have the same issue. I purchased the TX RZ 1100 and miss the sound decoding information that used to be on my previous TX RZ 900 and every other receiver I've ever owned. ONKYO on these newer models decided to shrink that information to where it's almost invisible. Did you say you'd answered the question already?
@@gmirtz basicly support told me they will contact de devs about it. They said also that they changed this by popular demand ! ....hem. I also have huge passtrough problems...do you ?
@@gmirtz I gave up & bought a YAMAHA Aventage RX-A1080 instead of TX-RZ840. It's a beast & much more sophisticated / advanced then TX-RZ840. Don't lose your time & money with ONKYO, just go with YAMAHA. Period !
I just got the Marantz SR7013 and guess what returned it right away man there are lot of things to complain from a such expensive receiver like that one.
I own the onkyo 676 and replaced with the Marantz SR7013 thinking that a jump from from a 500 dollar to a almost 3000 dollar receiver was going to blow my mind nahhh, I calibrated it so many time and there was not differences between the 2 of them the only difference was that the marantz had a very annoying cranky sound

awesome bit of kit :)
On the 840 can you turn off the power to the amplifiers so you can run strictly as a pre-amplifier? Like the 3100 5100?
i dont think so you need to move to 3100 and up
IMAX aspect ratio is technically much smaller than scope (i.e, 2.4:1 ratio). However, it only looks bigger on a 16×9 screen.
I think they mean 70mm film vs 35mm
@@greebuh I did mean in relation to the film stock size
Can I connect a Multichannel SACD?
Tx rz920 will it come with that feature ?
this amplifier are great with out you can complete a stereo amplifier or power amplifier

2Drezik No man, I have no pass through problems. What exactly is yours?
why no hdcp 2.3 ??
I need this 😍
Love videos like these
But does it do 7.2.2?
are you guys coming with preamplifier in this new line as well?
We are afraid that we cannot provide any information about possible upcoming models, sorry :)

bravo
i like dac is 32 bits 384 good for rip from vinyl
Is the tx-rz830 IMAX enchanced ??? I have it and love it.
Hi, this is a new feature of the latest TX-RZ840 and TX-RZ740 AVRs. Thank you!
@@OnkyoEU Wow I just purchased the RZ740 and didn't know that it was IMAX enhanced certified.
Is it sound better than tx 830?
Bit better but they should upgrade soft in rz 810,820,830 to new version.
What's the point to buy new receiver every year or 2 because few upgrade
... and what about those infamous HDMI & running HOT issues Onkyo plaqued with ?
IME hasn't been a problem for years and the new ones run much cooler, similar to Yamaha and much cooler than Denon and Marantz.
👌👌👌👌
Interesting
Price?
Hi, pricing depends on region/country and dealer - please inquire pricing with your preferred hifi dealer. Thank you :)
you can find at 750 euro at amazon
no hdcp 2.3 what the point? beter wait next years to hdmi 2.1
After the update the rz840 is hdcp 2.3
It has 2.3 now. And you can always wait for the next thing...
i better wait for hdmi 2.1 avr.
When r u going to re-design the "app"?
Onkyo app looks like a child's toy vs. Yamaha's AV Controller.
I know that, Onkyo can do so much better 🤔🧐😞
If they build an app like "Audyssey MultEQ Editor app" and 840 whould be the top av receiver, but i'm not sure if they are capable to do this...
