I have this receiver with Klipsch R620f towers, r52c center, r41m for Atmos overhead, r41m for rear side channels, and two Klipsch R12SW subs left and right in a 14x16 room with an eight foot ceiling it is absolutely breathtaking, very, very crisp and powerful. I highly recommend it, and if you can pair it with Klipsch speakers. I know there are better setups but man... For the money it is awesome! I got EVERYTHING delivered to my door for under $1600 including the subs from Amazon and adaroma.

Disappointed with the lack of pre-outs at this level. I have an external amplifier for the front R&L mains and no affordable receiver has pre-outs anymore.
I have my eyes on this gem. Are there still any overheating issues and HDMI board problems? Any other things I should know of? If only I could buy it in Europe. It's not available!

Question is, does the reciever switch on automatically when i stream music to it? Or do I have to put the reciever on first with a remote before i can stream music.
Hi Mallie, in the setup you can activate the option 'Network Standby'. This will automatically turn on the receiver when you stream to the device. Kind regards, Joachim
I just replaced a 2016 Denon with this Onkyo model. I replaced the Denon because I was having significant issues with the HDMI between that receiver and my LG OLED television. With the Onkyo, the HDMI problems I was having have resolved. To be fair to Denon, I was using an older model, and I'm confident their HDMI has improved by now.
Got this receiver I updated it. I now have Dolby Atomas, DTS x dts virtual height and dts Neural. My set up is left, center right and two surround speakers as well as two upfiring front atomas modules. The update did not give me Dolby Height virtualize unless Dolby digital is the height virualizaton? Please help
I have 5 main surround sound speakers then 2 other zones with 2 speakers for the 2nd & 3rd zones (3 total zones) so 9 total speakers. Would this amp work for this?

@@RicardoSilveiraChannel yes I said depending on your tv. Lol. But e/arc isn’t that great now. I tried a few receivers with e/arc and had lots of issues. Plus it’s always good to plug everything into the receiver anyway .

Я не по теме, но может подскажите, у меня телевизор+ресивер с подключёнными к нему 9 колонок+сабвуфер, ресивер подключён к телевизору через ARC, к телевизору подключаю жесткий диск через USB 3.0, и проблема в том что не проигрывается дороги DTS:X и долби атмос хотя ресивеи, DTS:X еще как-то начинает играть секунд пять но потом звук пропадает, а долби атмос вообще не воспроизводится. И в чём причина я не знаю. Остальные форматы долби и простой dts проигрывает нормально. Ресивер onkyo rz730.

2:09 AK4458VN is the DAC chip. Per AKM’s datasheet the DNR (Dynamic Range) is 115 db which is pretty decent.
I have the 696 receiver with dolby atmos setup in 5.1.2 and I love it..

where is the eARC?
E/arc sucks you dont need it. Plus depending on your tv it doesn’t hand shake well. E/arc is still in it’s infancy. You don’t really need to.
