Time Period and Frequency of Waves - GCSE Physics

This video introduces the time period and frequency of waves. The time period of a wave is the time it takes for a wave to go through one complete oscillation. The frequency of a wave is how many oscillations occur in one second or how many waves pass a point each second.
The relationship between time period and frequency is as follows: The number of waves passing a point each second (frequency) is inversely proportional to the time it takes for one oscillation of the wave (time period). So: time period = 1/frequency or T = 1/f. Conversely: frequency = 1/time period or f = 1/T.
