Magallan's only real specialty comes from her 2 abilities: crazy utility and an advantage on weird enemies. Magallan's power doesn't just come from the fact her kit is a glorified swish army knife but because of her drones invisibility + her fast skill recharges Maggy works likes God's adjustment tool. She can basically allow you to alter the battlefield by letting you do certain things (slow enemies, deal crazy arts damage on blocked enemies, or use a tweaked out global version of SA S3) that makes whatever circumstance you're in easier to handle. The reason she can solo so many stages is because her utility is that that broken, not her DPS. She's an enhancement tool for any team, that can do literally anything you need bar healing. And even then, helping you kill enemies like that makes healing waaaay less of a priority.
Her second ability comes from that utility. Magallan is a supporter in the most deranged sense, where her kit is optimized to essentially let her affect any part of the map with whichever ability you've decided you need for it. She's basically a global caster...and sniper...and slower...with invisibility...the upside to this is that shut down abilities are essentially useless against her. Because her kit requires speed to be able to adapt to the map's changing circumstances, enemies like Degenbrecher who rely on abilities like hiding and shutting down enemies are basically useless since she can just swap out her drones or pick from about 10,000 options on how to deal with her. Basically, enemies that use weird mechanics tend to open themselves up in ways Maggy's weird mechanics can fuck with.
Something ridiculous I noted was how Ling's skills work almost in direct opposite to Maggy's. Like, say, how both of their S2's are art's-based but Ling's S2 is a stun while Magallan's targets a specific tile and nukes the shit out of it...and Ling's S3 has her dragons on melee tiles while Magallan's S2 & 3 both not only go on ranged tiles but benefit massively against blocked enemies...huh...
Almost like those two are designed to work together...

Since my boy doesn't use magallan let me help out a bit! She is my favorite operator (even if deepcolor is my waifu) and summomers are my favorite archetype (though stalkers are a very close second).
While Mag can be used to solo clear a bunch of stuff this should not be viewed as her primary use. She is instead either a global assassin or an absolutely crippling global slower.
The slow is easy. Place her behind your front line to help dmage mobs that get stuck on her tank. Now thanks to her module you can place a drone on any tile for no deployment slots. This allows you to cripple.someone approaching your silverash or surtr with no further risk to any other operators. It allows you to stall out deadly waves or group two waves together for massive volcano burst. 15 seconds of "Simon says don't move" over 9 tiles of your choosing can absolutely break the difficulty curve of some stages and shouldn't be underestimated. And all it cost was 1 deployment slot and a little less dps in one of your offlanes.
But then there is global assassination. Place her behind your Frontline again. Determine whether you need arts dmg or phys aoe dmg. Place the drones around those smug bastards that dare you to attack them and watch as they melt under laser or rocket barrages. This can allow you to eliminate threats without risking any operators long before they reach your front.lines, though it is map dependant. Any map that taunts you with open slots that are death traps to normal operators is prime real estate for Mag.
Finally, you have spent all these resources on Mag, but you don't need a slow and you can't nuke anything from orbit. What can you do with her now? For more standard stages you can place a drone in front of a tank and let it help clear waves. Due to her module she is a burst mage that can place her damage in two places at once. She can even deal with waves of mobs on one lane while she deals with tanky boys on another.
She is an incredibly versatile unit with specific situations that can break the map. You can even use her low dp cost drones to smooth out the cost of late game units and take care of early waves while you save for more powerful units (though banners and bagpipe kinda make this pointless these days). So give her a try guys! She is far more than galaxy brained solo clears!
Do you think she’s worth M9? I feel like her S1 mastery is irrelevant unless i’m playing some super precise hard content.

I would say Nian and Dusk are substandard mainly because Nian is perfectly competent but the stuff she does is only relevant to Defenderknights players or people who don't have Hoshiguma and Dusk is substandard solely by virtue of her class (in which she used to be the least worst before Mostima mod3)
Kinda sad that nian and dusk got swept under the rug because of class , even i like them so much and have them both max lv, mastery i dont even can use that often , oh yeah and the dusk module too , it's so unfair :(
if only dusk have some sort of sp recovery. her s3 will be finally useful as a stalling tool niche. currently her only niche is as an afk anni dps and thats it.

Yii should make a video of him struggling-- I mean learning how to use Magallan. She’s a lot of fun once you get used to her.
The problem with Ling (and most of summoners) is that her summon health is always in the "non-full" capacity due to can't be healed and it's triggering something in me that make me a little bit mad for no reason.
I think if i ever get Ling i'll build Perfumer to max to help Angelina doubling the global passive regen.
You can heal her summons with Supporter Skadi too.
@@erics4133 Using Ling's summon mostly means you need to fight someone dangerous far in the frontline to hold or kill them before they reach your weaker operators (if not, then it's better to use a laneholder instead) and i think placing Skalter near it isn't the best decision, i rather place Skalter near my main formation to buff as much ops as possible. and yes there's seaborn, but the seaborn isn't available all the time different from medic's heal, global regen, or Skalter herself.
note: i'm talking about using Ling within my current squad. It's irritating when everyone's hp is full and there's big dragon that i can't un-notice standing there with randomly ammount of health remaining... arrgh.
This is why beanstalk is the best summoner. You can just retreat the crab and 15 seconds later, you get a brand new full health crab.

Well, considering the lore behind Ling the power makes sense. Def makes more sense than Chen's alter that just splashes some water on enemies and they die.

In a team comp Chalter is probably still more broken, just because dragons take deployment slots and a lot of DP, whilst chalter you just plop down and she obliterates everything. But it's like comparing someone whos legs are both broken with someone's whos spine has been shattered, paralysing them from the waist down. Sure, the broken spine is technically more broken, but neither of them can walk, so it hardly matters.
she is broken but more for general gameplay rather than for tough content. Ling can allow a lot of least number of ops for CC R18s but wont be prevalent in R33+ CCs unlike chalter
Ling is not broken, she's balanced and nowhere close to chalter level. The whole time you see Ling get praised is literally only because of her niche in being able to solo general content, that's it. You need to understand post module Ling used up to 7 deployment slots with her 3 big ds on the field, 7 is a lot of slots.
While you are under the illusion that "wow Ling can do this all by herself", think about the other stacked 7 operators I can put instead of her.
If anything she's great for new players since you need to only invest in one unit that can clear most general content by herself, but on the other hand max level modules are certainly not cheap to come by if you're relatively new.

lings only issues ever was how expensive her summons were but her module which she launched with fixed that for her

Even if it pains you to have less pulls for suffering, remember that the spark system translates into a currency you can use to buy all the resources you could ever want. Then you can build up whoever you want whenever you get them, without the pain of rare resource farming.

I'm even making an alt account to reacquaint with the beginner experience. she was in max risk week 1 of dawnseeker as an op count optimisation, nothing else other than that so far. pots only matter on her if you're doing s2 records-specifically p5 for the talent upgrade
She's a summoner. Basically treat her as you would if you were bringing Kaltsit in a CC: Mind the deploy limit tags but don't sweat the details.
The Amiya Show™ (TAS™ for short if you are into that kind of stuff) it's basically what Dokutahs and Doktors describe as "0 sanity moment", personally since the first 10 seconds of the first episode of the show was dead obviously that it was bad but like drugs I kinda liked, fingers crossed to have an 3rd season aired on a streaming service so the sanity would be the room temperature of Alaska.

I love the Supporter class. They’re meant to support other operators, but I love using only supporters to clear levels, or using only summoners. Ling will be the next Surtr for my account and clears, for sure. Can’t wait to play her with Dusk S3 and never use the rest of my operators again
