Seattle looks beautiful in your video.:) I live here for over 7 years and I have some tips and my personal opinions for who wants to move or travel here (I'm talking about Greater Seattle area). Pros: Seattle has beautiful nature (mountains, water )if you're into hiking. It's not too hot in the summer. It could reach to over 80F to 90F some days in July and August. It's not too cold in the wintertime but mostly drizzle. So you don't see the skyline and mountains. It's best time for coffee and tea, ramen and pho. Public transportation is pretty good. There's buses to some hikes in the summer. If weather is your biggest concern, Best time to visit around March to June. There are cherry blossom and other flower festivals during this time. June- August: warmest months with more farmer markets and food fairs outdoor. For food and drinks: Coffee is great here ;Seafood of course, ethnic foods are great here too , such as Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Chinese, Ethiopian , Italian,etc. There are some nice museums and galleries and sightseeings: Seattle art museum , museum of pop culture, National Nordic museum, Chihuly garden and glass, the museum of Flight, Boeing Field, so on It's about 2 hours drive to Vancouver, Canada. As well as taking ferry to Victoria, BC . ( I mean in a normal time, not during covid as the border is still closed). If you travel and stay here longer, Please visit different neighborhoods and enjoy other local/ ethnic food, not just Pike Place Market. Some parks are beautiful to visit ,such as Discovery park, Green Lake Park, Carkeek , Washington Park Arboretum , Bellevue Botanical garden , Seward park. Cons: The biggest is homeless and addiction and weirdos. Don't walk alone late evening. Avoid these areas even during daytime if you're uncomfortable : 3rd Ave (around Pike& Pine) downtown, Pioneer Square, Belltown, Broadway (around Pike &Pine) Capitol Hill. You still run into them in grocery stores/ drug store and public transportation often. EXPENSIVE. Yes It's getting more and more expensive in Seattle: grocery, housing, utility, good and service. Currently, sale tax is 10.25%. You also pay sweetened beverage tax, plastic bag, tax on bottle water, spirits sales tax is 20.5%, so on. So when you live here and don't manage your expenses well , you may spend all your salary. lol

We were only there for one night, so our situation was a little different, but we had no problem getting around without a car. We took the Light Rail from the airport to downtown. From there we walked a lot and took a couple of Ubers… never had any issue, and it was much cheaper than a rental car… especially with how expensive they are right now!😭😭
@@jessicast999 You don’t need a car to get around Seattle area. If you want to visit National parks or go further ,yes you do need it for a day or two. FYI, A lot of people live here don’t own a car.
I lived in Bellevue, just outside of Seattle for 10 years. Loved it!!! One of my best memories ever was when a friend and I took the ferry to Bremerton at night and watched the fireworks from the ferry. Beautiful and not crowded.
And thats why we call it the "Wet Coast". You guys didn't see them throwing fish at Pike Market? I love when you guys feed each other and lick ice cream.

You guys are so refreshing and entertaining! #2: Wife and I found you searching for New Orleans videos because we are traveling there in April, and we wanted to see RECENT videos of travelers during these pandemic times. You two definitely like your food! Food travel bloggers, yeah! #3: The true test of travel bloggers is to see how well they treated your city. You came to our city, Seattle, and you did not disappoint. It can rain at any time in Seattle, but mostly worse November through March, so you got the tail end of good weather in October. That thunderstorm was rare; we only get two or three of those a year, mostly August through October. You both handled it really well and full of positivity. I think anyone coming to Seattle should expect rain so they can be pleasantly surprised when it doesn't. If you come June-August you might not see any rain at all. #4: You have done well with your production values. I appreciated the drone shots of the waterfront and Space Needle. Please come back after the pandemic and go up the elevator to see the Space Needle from the inside. Still, you made it look cool and didn't complain that it wasn't open, because that wouldn't be fair to complain about the current situation. Also, for a really cool viewing platform, go to the Columbia Tower (Seattle's tallest building) where you're up nearly twice as high as the Space Needle, so you can really see everywhere around the city!

King County which is where Seattle is located just opened up a little as of Feb1st. I believe restaurants are able to have up to 25% capacity now as are museums and theaters etc but like everywhere it’s whack a mole with openings/closings. It has however been the wettest winter in decades so hope you are ok with soggy or coming in after 4th of July

We walked a lot and it was definitely more hills than I am used to. 😂 Definitely bring good cute walking shoes. They do have scooters & Uber’s/Lyfts if you don’t want to walk as much. Out of all of the things we ate, Beecher's Cheese and Daily Dozen Doughnuts are probably the top ones that we would re-visit! We also loved the experience of taking the ferry over to Bainbridge Island and having breakfast at Pegasus Coffee. For places that we didn't get around to on this trip that we would like to do next time, I would say Mee Sum Pastry, Elleno's Greek Yogurt, Storyville Coffee, and Biscuit Bitch. Hey!! Thanks so much for reaching out. This video was filmed in October 2020, so I'm not sure what might have changed since then, but we didn't have any problems. It definitely wasn't open fully, but we still had a great time and honestly didn't feel like we missed out on really anything. The biggest advice we can give (and this goes for any city right now) is to call any restaurants, stores, etc before arriving to make sure that they are open. While their website or Google may say that they are, that doesn't mean much these days. Restrictions and protocols are changing daily it seems, so it's better just to call ahead before showing up to locked doors. Hopefully you get to go and have an amazing time! 😄

#2: Wife and I found you searching for New Orleans videos because we are traveling there in April, and we wanted to see RECENT videos of travelers during these pandemic times. You two definitely like your food! Food travel bloggers, yeah!
#3: The true test of travel bloggers is to see how well they treated your city. You came to our city, Seattle, and you did not disappoint. It can rain at any time in Seattle, but mostly worse November through March, so you got the tail end of good weather in October. That thunderstorm was rare; we only get two or three of those a year, mostly August through October. You both handled it really well and full of positivity. I think anyone coming to Seattle should expect rain so they can be pleasantly surprised when it doesn't. If you come June-August you might not see any rain at all.
#4: You have done well with your production values. I appreciated the drone shots of the waterfront and Space Needle. Please come back after the pandemic and go up the elevator to see the Space Needle from the inside. Still, you made it look cool and didn't complain that it wasn't open, because that wouldn't be fair to complain about the current situation. Also, for a really cool viewing platform, go to the Columbia Tower (Seattle's tallest building) where you're up nearly twice as high as the Space Needle, so you can really see everywhere around the city!

King County which is where Seattle is located just opened up a little as of Feb1st. I believe restaurants are able to have up to 25% capacity now as are museums and theaters etc but like everywhere it’s whack a mole with openings/closings. It has however been the wettest winter in decades so hope you are ok with soggy or coming in after 4th of July

I do think that an overnight would give you a better chance to see the town. We walked a lot and it was definitely more hills than I am used to. 😂 Definitely bring good cute walking shoes. They do have scooters & Uber’s/Lyfts if you don’t want to walk as much. Most of the hills aren’t super steep except the ones going to the water. (If that makes sense) Thank you so much for your comment! Made our day! Out of all of the things we ate, Beecher's Cheese and Daily Dozen Doughnuts are probably the top ones that we would re-visit! We also loved the experience of taking the ferry over to Bainbridge Island and having breakfast at Pegasus Coffee. For places that we didn't get around to on this trip that we would like to do next time, I would say Mee Sum Pastry, Elleno's Greek Yogurt, Storyville Coffee, and Biscuit Bitch. We would also probably go to the top of the Space Needle next time! Hope this helps and that you have an awesome time in Seattle! -Matt

Hey!! Thanks so much for reaching out. This video was filmed in October 2020, so I'm not sure what might have changed since then, but we didn't have any problems. It definitely wasn't open fully, but we still had a great time and honestly didn't feel like we missed out on really anything. The biggest advice we can give (and this goes for any city right now) is to call any restaurants, stores, etc before arriving to make sure that they are open. While their website or Google may say that they are, that doesn't mean much these days. Restrictions and protocols are changing daily it seems, so it's better just to call ahead before showing up to locked doors. Hopefully you get to go and have an amazing time! 😄

I went to Seattle Sept 2019 for a day before COVID-19 hit Thank God enjoyed city. Went to Pop Culture Museum, Chihuly Glass Garden, Space Needle, Pike Market ate at Athenians, saw Starbucks the original, Kerry Park, Century Link Field, T- Mobile Park. Want to go back hang down waterfront more.
