I neither shoot or edit videos and have absolutely no experience in doing so, i think a big part of it is it can be quite daunting especially for complete beginners but the way you explained and showed how to do what at first sight to be such a complex piece of editing to come across to simply and easy to follow is awesome. Kudos, keep up the good work.
Is this channel a gift from god? Literally cannot believe what I have watched over the last few videos. AMAZING and so creative. You put in so much thought it's insane - You've set a new standard manI like it
Man, big respect for your work and a big thanks for the help that you provide to other film makers. Would love to see a big Q&A with you and Erik and the whole team.
This was unreal! Super helpful, and explained quickly without any other pointless banter. Can you make a tutorial how you transition from day to night?
This was so well done, I watched a ton of tutorials on this but yours was super easy to follow. please do more of these. sunglas transition next? Keep it up
hey andreas, im a big fan from Brazil and as a way to "thank you" for the work you're doing here, I would like to add subtitles (Portuguese-BR) I dont actually know how it works but I think that you have to turn it on or some shit like that. May I? :) awesome video btw
Hey Andreas, love your videos and they inspire me to do the same! Now i'd like to know how you learned all this stuff and how did you get started? Have you made an apprenticeship or did you study something like film making? :)
Next it would be interesting to see, how you transition into your sky replacement (like you did with the clips at the beginning of this tutorial). And thank you so much for making these Tutorials. So useful.
Great tut without revealing too much of his own "secret sauce". People need to realize that this won't work with every footage and just one of many ways to achieve sky replacement. Also experiment more. This tut provides a good first step for filmmakers to take it further themselves.
Hey man you're probably not going to see this, but I would love to know if you only use aftereffects for your cinematic short edits, or you link your compositions with premiere pro as well? Also it would be soo cool to see a tutorial on how you make those clean "panning" transitions!! Much love bro 🤙
Hey andreas, love your video! Can you make another tutorial showing how you match a sky to a clip? For example a star sky matching a bright summer clip?
I think I'm first I'm probably not though :D Love your content Andreas please keep up the great work I'm gonna use this tutorial on all of my videos!!!
once you rotobrushed the sky off from the original footage, (It would be transparent already) so if you want to change the sky to another sky, just add another sky by cuting the first sky and adding another sky after that. (All under the rotobrushed clip) it would change to another sky because it will.
If you want to change the original sky to another one just duplicate the layer and put it underneath the roto-layer and the sky replacement layer and the use opacity, luma key, color key sliders to fade away the original sky. Kinda like Emmanuel suggested! :)
i needa start using the roto brush more, if your scene is super clean you can get some really good results. thanks for the tips bro
I've done a lot of sky replacements recently and this is honestly one of the better tutorials I've seen. Well played, Andreas.
I Have been waiting for this ever since your team overkill application!! edit: thank you!
