Loving these. I am currently level 7 {Honour mode) running round the Shadow Cursed lands killing everything with ease - Fighter 1, Cleric 1, Great Old One Blade Lock 5. Wearing the potent robes, caustic band, risky ring and diadem of arcane synergy. When I hit level 7, I respecced into 7 Battlemaster fighter and went and killed Voss (lvl 12) for the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane - If you bypass the Githyanki patrol and wipe out the creche, the patrol despawns and just leaves Voss - he doesn't interact with you until you talk to him, so you could use barrelmancy on him, but the dragon is hella close and I didnt want to aggro THAT, so I sent in Shovel to aggro him and get a Surprise round (and remove ready to parry), then I went to town with Cloud Giant elixir, risky ring, and the titanstring Longbow. Menacing attack after the surprise round for 2 rounds of fear and job done. In the Bladelock build, The Pacted Silver Sword does 24-42 damage according to the tooltip and that gets buffed by 4 when I get the arcane synergy stacks (Took GWM instead of Charisma ASI at level 6) The potent robes give temp HP at the start of my turn, so no point in going Fiend. I DO have a Hireling give me mage Armour though to get AC to 19 with the cloak of protection
Glad to hear you're enjoying my shenanigans! :D I did not know you could fight Voss like that! Really cool. Silver Sword must be absolutely wrecking stuff 🤣! That's close to Bhaalist Armor damage lol.
@@sirjoesphjoestar8361 Did you interact withthem? After the cut scene of the dragon killing the Fists and Voss Landing, I popped an invis potion and snuck past the patrol and voss. I then went to act 2 and bought gear in Last light and Moonrise and then went back and killed the Hag and then cleared out the creche including the Inquisitor. After a long rest, I went to check Voss and the patrol was gone, leaving him alone with the dragon. I have done it twice now on solo Honour mode following these steps and Voss was alone both times. Note that after killing the Inquisitor and talking to Vlaakith, I agreed to kill the emperor for her, but didnt enter the prism and just left. Not sure which of these steps cause voss to stay put.
Alright, well, good to know I did this the absolute worst way possible. So me and my friend fought him and found out if you step on one of his ritual pads when he starts casting the ritual it'll not only change his bonus health, it'll straight up GIVE him all that bonus HP (even if you get rid of it prior). After a drawn-out encounter, we ended up in a situation where we legit couldn't DPS him fast enough because he ascended and could heal 120hp per second... Had to legit walk out, long rest, come back and force him to dance while we through everything at him. Killing him in one round. Was hysterical
Also his legendary action is really scary. It did like 110 damage and proc'd three times before never coming back after he ascended. Absolute mess hahaha
I could hear the Benny Hill soundtrack as Kithari chased Fogzador around the room 🤣. I did like the fireball flex btw, maybe that's why he almost always remained in fog form 😂
Once you dropped his minions the fight ended itself lol. It looked like his AI didn't know how to handle your aggression so it shat itself. I will keep that in mind for my next fight with him.
The fight is very different when you dont have astarion in your party, he doesn't do most of his powerful attacks because without him he cant start casting the ritual. Was very surprised to find that out recently.
@@FriendlyLichNah I think it’s because his legendary action is coded to only pop up once you start the fight, so if you ambush him it bugs out and doesn’t appear, might be astorian though.
Hm, I haven't read patch notes but I only know of the bulette change and the Githyanki ambush in Act 2. Is it something else I should look out for/make sure I run into next run?
if you let him start the ritual he gets like 8d10 extra necrotic damage on all his spells and attacks... it makes the fight actually hella hard (especially if you don't prepare accordingly with a necrotic resistance elixir/armor).

Wdym, when I traveled to mountain pass, the whole patrol, including voss despawned.

Are you playing as a gith too?

Ouch, that's painful! Good that you managed to get away for that long rest though!

I find it hilarious to drop aoe on myself like that 😂. Glad you liked it too!
thanks for this strat. I am currently playing Solo Wyll Warlock run in dis Honour mode. This made the fight a breeze.
Glad I could help =)
SIX MINUTES?!
Is that too long for this fight? o.O I genuinely don't know :)
Once you dropped his minions the fight ended itself lol.
It looked like his AI didn't know how to handle your aggression so it shat itself. I will keep that in mind for my next fight with him.
Yeah agreed. It felt really lackluster overall. Just chasing an old man with a spear lol
You seem so OP lol
Could you do a video detailing the best gear for each act for this build please?
Great content bro
I’ve been thinking of redoing my build video since it’s slightly different from how I made it. If I do that I’ll incorporate gear too :)
The fight is very different when you dont have astarion in your party, he doesn't do most of his powerful attacks because without him he cant start casting the ritual.
Was very surprised to find that out recently.
Yeah was thinking it must be related to Astarion because this honestly felt super easy

@@thatonediodude4904 It could very well be as you say.
Good job, and Thanks for bringing me Halloween early FL! ^.^
Thanks and you're welcome =)
So leaving Cazador in misty form prevents him to use his annoying legendary action which does hundreds of damage ?
It would seem so. I was honestly feeling really underwhelmed after the whole fight. Pretty much just chasing a mist around and poking it.
Cool !!! I've been waiting for this so much!
Hope you like it!
The double fireball is NUTTY
It's that super secret drop two fireballs on myself technique :)
@@FriendlyLich Why do you take so little damage from the fireballs? Dex save plus fire resistance from somewhere?
@@jotun5383 I don't remember if I had that on a gear piece but good saves and temp hp that gets refreshed helps :)

I'd love to see how well you do with the final patch and all the bullshit that added.

That certainly makes the fight a lot tougher! Specially as you say without buff.
curious why does cazador not have his legendary action?
As I understand it it's because the ritual can't start due to Astarion being busy drinking wine in the camp :)
Did you free them,?
I brought Astarion here afterwards for some fancy ritual casting :)
