    This was such a clear explanation of Rahu/Ketu and I really liked the explanation of Saturn in comparison as well as Jupiter/Venus in aspect or prominence with the nodes, and how that plays out. You see this all the time… Academia is full of gurus & misfits and one of the hardest things to teach students at the graduate and doctoral level… is how to not follow or be bound by rules.

    You said you like Jup-Ketu combination. My sister has this one in Sagittarius, 9th house (whole sign/tropical), trined exactly by her leo sun in the 5th. She works with spirituality. I see some problems with this aspect, knowing her very well. She is very open minded and very capable to relate to different forms of spiritual work. But she is so open minded, I mean So open, that sometimes she completely lacks criteria. She has spent a lot of money with tarot readers, questionable forms of therapies... and she basically believe everything people tell her, if it has to do with spirituality. Sometimes she is just lost in her discerniment. I have my Sun-Ketu conjunct, so I am the one telling her that she dont need all these therapies, she just need to be in silence and look inside 😆

    Intelligent! Parisa seems quite intelligent too, and a good student of astrology!
    And I don't just say that as anyone--I think I have adequate intelligence, enough to see intelligence in others, and familiarity with some aspects of astrology. Having gone over my reading again, from you, I see that it's quite amazing. From your teaching I see that more can be seen the more one is familiar with Vedic astrology and through combining different significations.

    Am curious about the 18 Year half cycle of Rahu Ketu when Transung Rahu meets Natal Ketu They are eclipse points so that the transit "buzzes" the conjunction at some point in time upon arrival Have this coming up so having witness last summer's massive eclipse bearing in along a pathway from Portland Oregon to Charleston SC where Charlotville SC Protest occurred Aug 14 , was wondering if these eclipse events can be somewhat predictable some powerful,and others not , of course. Really enjoy your video courses on the web thank you so much 🌠🌸🌸

    I want to share a snippet about Rahu in Sag (Mula), 4th house, since that's what I have: I was born and raised in a foreign country that had a lot of animus toward my ethnicity. So, I was harassed almost daily for no reason other than my ethnic origin. Later, I moved to Japan, and finally USA, where I am also a foreigner.. There is no animus here, but I am still an. outsider, misfit. If I go to my native culture, I will be an outsider there too, because I spent most of my life outside of that country. Rahu in Mula cut my roots;). Mom is very difficult too, to say the least, but on the other hand she always stressed the importance of education, that was her priority for me.

    Vic, please correct me if I'm wrong. On an internal level, Rahu represents the subconscious desires/mind. The subconscious has more sway over us than our mind (Moon), ego/confidence/sense-of-self (Sun) thoughts (Mercury, desires/determinations (Mars), Wisdom (Jupiter), pleasures (Venus), and Saturn (discipline or insecurities). Perhaps this is why Rahu is known as the most powerful Navagraha. Does that sound right to you?

    Dude, you rock! I love these Q & A’s! It really clears up a lot about commonly asked questions. I always wondered how Rahu & Ketu appear in nature, but then I remembered, after what you said, the idea that there’s order in chaos or the idea that order gradually leads to disorder & vice versa. About them both though, how do we use them to really live “now”. Since Rahu is future & Ketu is past (generally). How do we attain that zen or nirvana that is in living in the moment?

    • @ashleybotelho8678

    Hi Vic! Why do they always say that the best placement of Rahu is in the 6th house (Ketu 12th), when I see that significant rise of a person in a Rahu dasha mostly in 10th or 11th house. What is the positive significant difference between the 3 houses with Rahu in it?

  • @Jayasinghe_family
    @Jayasinghe_family ปีที่แล้ว

    Mantra question - I know you say that there are no ritualistic MUSTs for worshipping planets but would you say it's best that Rahu is worshipped after the Sun sets. I mean it's clearly better to worship the Sun when the Sun is risen because HE is visible to us at that time. Likewise for the moon at night. Perhaps Rahu at night as well?

    • @Jayasinghe_family
      @Jayasinghe_family ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and I like the idea of doing 108 names of planetary Devas. I was thinking of giving it a try. I wonder whether that's recommended in the Vedas.

    Okay, so if one sees the future, as in seeing a child at 7 years old before they are born or knowing something before it happens, or knowing it happened but you are not there when it happens? What does that say about time? How does that relate to time?

    Are soulmates, Rahu and ketu like opposites but yet one soul with these polarity or do these both exist in each of one of us. And over time it transform us in time. Or are they lessons

  • @TheMrLokuaiya

    There are many illusions about time, but time is not an illusion.
    They are both illusions. Rahu is material illusion eternal existance and Ketu spiritual illusion about nullification.

    Vic Ji Ketu a spiritual illusion ? Hmm unheard off.. Rahu as illusory force is easy to relate not able to do with Ketu. Ketu is mokshakaraka a liberating and a detaching & implosive energy. Please help understand your perspective

    • @VicDiCaraAstrology
      @VicDiCaraAstrology  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Mokṣa is another illusion. It is different from Samsārika illusion because it is permanent. There is no leaving that illusion. If you have not heard of Premānanda this would be a difficult concept to grasp, or have not deeply contemplated Bhagavān.

    • @Padmavenu
      @Padmavenu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Vic Ji, I have not heard of Premananda but I do reflect both on self and Bagawan but that doesn't mean I have a hang of it !
      I will continue to explore your point of view ' liberation' is illusion. If God wills he will reveal when it is right time.

    A very interesting conversation! I have to disagree with two points you made at the end (although I still like the video very much). First, I don't think in monotheism you must "accept one God". No, the point is to accept a true God, the Creator, and stop worshiping bodyless beings who have not created you. It's like calling out to a stranger "Dad"", he is not your father, why are you saying that he was the cause of you and everything in your life. Also, in monotheism the status of a human being is higher than that of the disembodied beings, so worshiping them is worshiping someone who is at the lower rung of the hierarchy. We may not be as powerful as them now, but we are developing to become more powerful. So, to worship them would like a very young child worshiping a mature tiger. The child is inherently a higher being than a tiger, although his powers are immature. So, in Christianity, for example, since God became a human being and ensured the salvation (i.e. the evolution rather than degradation), we follow him only in order not to be swayed or trapped by forces that might want to slow us down, although the path is hard and temptations aplenty.
    Second, you said that the intellectuals do not need rules. Oh, how I disagree with you! The intellectual bravado and an excellent ability to rationalize things work so successfully together to bring about the fruition of the ulterior motives that simmer just below consciousness. I witness how intellect is used to destroy every single day.
