I can't speak for the U.K, but in the U.S, generally when ATC gives you clearance it's always "climb and maintain 6000ft" or "climb via SID" or "climb via SID except maintain 6000ft." In the except maintain situation you'd ignore the top altitude on the SID and maintain the altitude as instructed by ATC. Each SID has a top altitude that you must stop at unless given another altitude to maintain. In your case you did the right thing by maintaining 6000ft as that is what you were told to do, and you were given no further instructions until you requested a higher climb. I fully believe this was an error on say intentions part not yours because I am more than certain this would not have happened on VATSIM.
@@Dreamsofwings I should have said I can't speak for other parts of the world... you weren't flying in the U.K lol. @@Dreamsofwings Yup, coverage can be an issue. Great content as always!
@growtogether many thanks! 🍻
You could have plugged in the headset, that would have reduced the amount of ambient noise. I own the Comanche and love it. Would like to get into the GTNXi (or similar devices) but this stuff is intimidating……😅
@@MrSpinkser yes demonstrated that on previous videos, including the preview video I did prior to launch, but wanted to show the full engine noise in this one as some people like to hear that. They way they have simulated headset even down to noise cancelling is impressive.
settings are in options control options settings in the sim
@@pthine1 yes that’s right, that is where I have been adjusting settings as I mentioned
Great video though!
@@MrSpinkser thanks!
@@bpk-dz5qc many thanks for that, good to know!
@@Dreamsofwings I should have said I can't speak for other parts of the world... you weren't flying in the U.K lol. But if you want to look further into it go back and look at that SID and see if it was by chance a turbojet only SID. Your aircraft type may have thrown the AI for a loop if that is the case.
Ah, will check that.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
with tobii minimise the eye movements and use more head movements in settings
Yes someone else mentioned that in the comments but I’m not using any eye tracking at all, it’s purely head tracking.
not sure but it is interesting question, why not do a video on this subject to see what kind of response you get
@@pthine1 because it seems to trigger some people 🤣. I agree though, interesting to learn!
Is it worth buying
@@JoelBonham-j7z oh yes indeed
When you are cleared direct to a waypoint, you disregard all other waypoints you might have had in your flight plan and head "directly" to the waypoint that you have just been cleared to. It is self explanatory, is it not?
@@Gilles45 yes which is why I then flew direct to the waypoint I had been cleared to thinking that was the obvious thing to do. Maybe you haven’t got to that but yet
@@Dreamsofwings Not only is it the obvious thing to do, it is the ONLY thing to do. Maybe I'm just being cranky today, what I meant is that I don't understand how you did not know that and why you had to ask yourself if you should disregard the SID and go direct. Sorry for being a bit rude...
@@Gilles45 it is the obvious thing to do which is why I did it. Questioning it initially in the moment was a good example of overthinking the obvious.
How do you talk to act yourself
@@JoelBonham-j7z SayIntentions.AI uses voice recognition AI to listen to what you say when you press whatever PTT button you have assigned,
Are you not with discord anymore
Hi Jep, I am still on Discord but the Discord I built became bigger than I had every hoped for and was very little to do with the channel so one of the admin’s very kindly took it on and runs it now. Hope all is good with you!
