I really like the idea off a real life functional 3 in one jacket. And it has level 2 elbow and shoulder protection! All that for 350-400 euros. Again well done Rev'it!

I thought the same before I learned hard in the Netherlands.
3 layer system on highway when starts rain and no place to stop. Thats why I end up with Badlands

I m also a big fan of the layer System (onion-System). Base-layer, mid-layer, Jacket and rain clothes. That fits me perfectly well. stay safe and ride well.

Thanks for this video. The biggest problem when it rains is the infiltration of water between the collar of the jacket and the helmet ( after several hours )

Love the extra pockets, I just have a look at the jacket yesterday at my local shop here in São Paulo Brazil. Pocket are totally necessary, but I will have it water proof ( you know, when the climate is unstable… specially here in South America, one minute you are boiling in the sun, and in no time you are under a tropical storm… no time to put on a rain jacket… 😅, and 15 minutes after you are already get dry under a scorching sun, so it might be great to add a waterproof pocket in the main jacket too. ) great content Pavlin thank you !

I just bought an Eclipse summer jacket which, like my allweather jacket ( has waterproof membrane and a removable step lining), I took out all the protection pads as I wear a protection jacket from Ortema, this way I can layer up with both jackets or wear singlely and the one not being worn takes up less room in my luggage having no padding. I also wear a neckbrace .

Those extra pockets are essential. Although i wear a small bag underarm hung over my shoulder so my valuables stay with me.
    Great jacket though.

I really wanna like Revit. There Design usually looks great. So I bought an Dominator GTX jacket and GTX 2 trousers. The ventilation of it wasn’t really good, but when both items leaked after the first rain shower I’ve just sent it back. So I never bought Revit gear again. The burnt child dreads the fire! 😉
    Enjoy your trip Pavlin! 👍

Nice review 👍 bought this jacket yesterday as a sample. I am missing the inside pockets also, will tell Revit as well that they forgot it 🧐. Also the straps on the arms are too tight, and i’m not even a body builder 💪🏼 😅. Al in all a very nice jacket in this price range

The only thing I liked about this video was the innovative idea about getting the two extra pockets sown into the jacket . And even better, THEY LOOK SO DAMN ORIGINAL ! Full marks to the person who did this wonderful job . I can imagine the look on the faces of the Revit factory guys. And last but not the least I did something similar with one of my riding pants, some time ago and everyone thought there was a new model in the shops .

The Dominator GTX jacket and pants I bought 3-4 years ago and successfully tested, among other things, in Norway.
The Revit GTX Expedition boots I'm testing right now. Have a little fear that the cord could tear?!
In addition, I drive for a few months with the Revit Sand 4 H2O jacket, which I really like.
For Norway and / or Iceland I would use the but then the Dominator GTX jacket.
On day tours in the Berlin area I usually ride with a motorcycle jeans. On multi-day tours I always wear the Dominator GTX pants.
Greetings from Berlin and a successful tour!

I bought the offtrack jacket and pants last year, largely based on your review. But now I wished I waited a year to get the new model, lol. I like the improvements they made to the additional jackets. I always slip my rain shell over the outside, but it is a bit of a pain to zip & snap up. I had only one issue with the jacket, the main zipper broke, and right before I was heading out on a tour so I didn't have time to send it back. It was always kind of wonky to get zipped, but after it broke I had a local seamstress put in a new zipper for about 50 USD. I bought it through Revzilla and they re-imbursed me for it in lieu of sending it back for warranty repair. If you find a jacket you really like, and something is a little off a trip to a local tailor/seamstress is well worth spending a little money.
I am in the middle of a cross country trip across the US and the other day I went through NY city/New Jersey in 95 deg plus heat. With the vents wide open on the highway I was still comfortable. These jackets really do move a lot of air. I can't imagine the even larger front vents on the new one, I'm trying really hard not to order it!

Thanks for the review. I send my offtrack 2 back because on top it's to ventilated. Good for summer time but bad for the winter. So now i have chose the Sand 4. In my opinion more for all the seizons and made of better materials. (More high quality) but thanks mate! Cheers!

I bought it just as this review came out and it seems that we both made a great pickup, Pavlin. Another con, besides the pocket, is how "heavy" around the neck it becomes with a helmet on and the three jackets, as I find it difficult to turn my head around. Do you feel the same?
Other than those two minor cons, it is an amazing jacket for anyone that experiences the full four seasons.

a question about the dominator pants: have you ever used them in high temperatures? like 36 degrees centigrade? do you think it's viable? here in south america we have high temperatures, torrential rains and also getting to patagonia very cold, wind and rain... i agree with you about the inconvenience of taking off your clothes on the side of the road to use the waterproof layer. thanks for the always relevant content!!!

Very good video, just what I was looking for, greetings from Chile. Question, I'm undecided between the Dominator and Poseidon pants. What is the biggest difference and which one do you recommend to use all year round and accompany the OffTrack 2 Jacket.

    • @motorcycleadventures

Dominator pants are from 3 layers laminated Gore-tex. Poseidon 2 layers. Poseidon have warm layer, Dominator not.

I bought this jacket with nice materials and a nice shape, but I find it too tight. then the two external pockets on the shell with the jacket worn and closed are too tight and unusable. lastly, the vents on the chest lower when riding a motorbike, allowing cold air to enter

I am glad you like the jacket but the color is all wrong and does not have enough reflective tape. For that reason alone I will never pick it due to my own knowledge as a long time rider and a driver. It lacks the contrasts and visibility a good motorcycle jacket should have, more so if riding in places that are unfamiliar to you or where you may be off the bike standing by the side of the road. One more point - It might be my eye but the video camera and youtube compression makes the new jacket appear dirty on camera. I thought the white one you have was far superior in safety - was better, popped more, drivers could see you better despite the lack of ventilation. It likely saved your life when your skills from a long day or riding or when you in less than ideal lighting conditions. Yeah - the lack of accessible pockets on this new jacket to hold easy to grab euros for fast transactions , to use the facilities, various tickets or folded maps on your person will be a problem too.
Safe riding, enjoy this next run and save some roads for us.
