I bought this horn 1.5 years ago and among the faults you found, only the low quality octave mechanics is present on my horn. I would assume that the quality vary quite abit among the different horns...? The key action felt rather stiff at the beginning but after some playing it got better. I mainly use Tone Edge 7 as a mpc, which works well with this horn. Overall, my horn still doesn't leak and plays quite well.
TRUE, I was disappointed with the Alto version too! G key totally out of tune and even more obvious when going up an octave. Quality is acceptable on the built finish but for me the overall requirement is sound production/quality - another additional issue is the adjustable palm keys which feels awkward to play. This is also really heavy to blow compared to my new BETTER SAX Alto using the same gears.
Curiously i've made friends with mine, yes its a bit sharp in the higher register but it can be tempered with intonation control......overall a good budget horn for the price 👍
Hello, please turn on the subtitles for this video in the Czech language, I am considering buying this tenor and I would like to know your rating (I can't speak English) thank you, R. Ježek
Thanks for this review. A few years back I also ordered a ts350 and had almost all the same issues as you found. The one I had was not as bad mechanical as yours, but my ears almost hurt because the off-tune sounding. The embouchure has to make strange adoptions to get all tones in perfect tune. Very sad. And no, that was not me... The old horn I had before was almost perfect to play. An Buffet Crampon. sadly its gone. But I can still not believe all TS horns are so bad... They then would end up with a lot of B-stock instruments...
Yes, it's playable with a good MP. and I think it will last for years. Tak a look at this videos where I play on a Otto Link 7, and an SYOS 8: 1) th-cam.com/video/P8TASFnNn-4/w-d-xo.html 2) th-cam.com/video/E7r5kahFNfw/w-d-xo.html
Hello, thank you for your video. I would like to buy a beginer Tenor Sax. I understand your critics for this model. I would have two questions please. 1) What do you think about the mouthpiece of the Antique Sax ? 2) Which other beginer sax would you recommand ? The Yamaha YTS 280 ? Thanks
I haven't tried the original MP. But I don't think it is very good. I think I was a bit harsh in my comment - you can use it, but perhaps you need to get an adjustment. I have another Thomann (baritone). This one is very good, and I haven't made any adjustments, actually, the baritone is a great horn. I thin it also depends on luck :-) I Use my Thomann tenor now and then at it plays ok. Listen here - with an Otto Link 7: th-cam.com/video/P8TASFnNn-4/w-d-xo.html
You should try and do a less frustrated review of the sax. As you show in the comments, you actually think its a decent horn but from your video review I think I'm about to buy a piece of crap.
Thanks, you saved me a lot of money.
Hello,
and which saxophone would you reccomend with 100 $ more?
Thank you
Would like to know as well. Thanks.

"You get what you pay for". but you can send it back with in 30 days.
Is this saxophone still playable with a good mouthpiece? And will it remain so for a "long time"?? (Like 1 or 2 years maybe ???)

What do you expect for a few hundred euro
This has been my experience with a Chinese alto saxophone, the plateaus are not balanced at all.
