The contrast in sound between the 4T in the background and the Varg is enlightening. The 4T echoes in the woods while the Varg is almost silent. I get a little self conscious when riding at private tracks with neighbors within earshot. Even if they are great neighbors. The Varg will solve any potential neighbor issues.
Please take it to a deep sand track like beach sand . Mx12 or mx14 . Love to see how they handle the heavy loads and runtime in sand . Mine due end sept but still not 100% laying down coin yet
@baggszilla yea they want payment now and said bike will arrive dec/Jan. The dates been pushed back so many times . But I'm not going to go ahead with it .
@mx118racer o ok got you! So the date they say it will be ready to ship is actually the payment date. I put my order in the other day and it's telling me Oct 2024. So I should expect Dec 2024 or early 2025. Thanks for replying. Cheers
I watched a few videos and I'm guessing the way I ride and the type of trails I'll be getting somewhere between 2-2.5 hours of run time. Hope they upgrade that by the time mine is ready.
@baggszilla I ordered day of announcement almost 2 yrs ago . I rode one on a test ride day on mx track . Bike is awesome . You may pick up a used one by time your order arrives . I'm sure they be improvements and even other companies coming out with products too .
7.31.23 Bryan, very good. Looks like you made the journey ok. Looks like the pit crew was there. Still looks like you have the only Varg in public use still. When is going to be the next race day? All ways wanting to see the starts to see if you can out do the gas bikes. That first track that you went to looked like did not have that many riders. Would be cool to see you install the left handle bar rear brake. I think this private track needs a good set of whoops.
Awesome to see the bike out here riding stuff that I ride normally. Being from Arkansas our tracks are vary similar to the stuff in Tennessee. Cant wait to see you rip it on more local tracks that have more of a soft base. Would really be cool to see you take it on a trail ride! Maybe some little hill climbs?
man. a couple of those landings where you over-jumped. not having the engine noise makes it sound soooo much worse. like I must've done that 3x a lap but you don't hear the shock bottom out. 😄
You can stay on the balls of your feet with a Cleanspeed close/near brake pedal tip too as long as you have size 9 or above. Game change for staying on the pegs
Dirt looks excellent. You seem a bit tentative going into right hand turns vs left. Hope you tryout your lefthand brake soon. Also, aren't there any tracks in Tennessee with hills?
Man, right turns have always been my cryptonight. After testing the LHRB on the Varg in Barcelona a few months ago, i realize its actually because my technique into right hand corners is currently a two step process because of the foot brake. 1. entry with foot on the brake. 2. take foot off brake and put it forward. With the LHRB, I realized I was able to set up for right corners much earlier and instantly saw my right corner speed improve.
I'm sure I am not the first to think of this but if Stark Varg would develop a noise making device that would mimic a gas engine correlating to the Varg throttle position. This might solve the real problem of racers not hearing the electric bike approaching from the rear. My 2-cents.
Go ride Thunder Valley, please!! I will see you out there. Also, there are sections of the track where i prefer engine breaking to be 0% (clutch in). Wondering how stark could implement this?
Thanks for the content, I’m excited to ride one. I have a few questions. Have you crashed it yet? Also what’s the availability of replacement parts for the inevitable repairs?
Sick vid man, congrats on the move. I'm getting my Varg in a month and I'm wondering how much battery you used on a track with this kind of dirt? Many tracks I go to are similar on the East Coast and I want to know what to expect. Also what kind of generator do you use and have you been able to fast charge your bike in (about) an hour as Stark claims?
Hey Bryan .. could I possibly ask you which Bars you were able to use on the Varg .. obviously with the phone mount did this restrict you?? Also are you able to change the grips ?? To ODI lock On grips?? Thanks Stacey
Hi Bryan. I've noticed you take your Alta alot when you ride, is that because of the time it takes to charge the Varg between moto's? I normally do 3 15min to 20min sessions with s 25min to 30min rest in-between. Do you think that's doable with the Varg? Cheers
It really depends on how much battery you use during a session and how much energy you need to put in for the next ride. Which of course depends on your skill level, riding speed, track conditions, etc. For me, if i only bring 1 electric bike i end up waiting a bit longer than i would with a gas bike in between motos. I will typically use 50% or so in a normal 15-20min session on the varg and this will take 65min to recharge back to full. Fortunately i have 2 electric bikes so ill just hop on the other one for a moto after im done resting for about 20-30 minutes and while the other bike is recharging.
Nice seeing the electric run, obviously reliable and fast, BUT, Sprinter, Tesla, Stark, Alta...you seem to have a little money, please trade in that Westinghouse jackhammer of a generator on quiet invertor generator. Buy the right one it will even charge your Tesla during a rolling brown out...(that's a California joke for those that don't know) ;)
Could you tell me how this bike would compare to a 4 stroke 250 or 450? How long does your battery last with your riding? I'm no where near as good as you, so I'm sure my battery would last longer😂. I love the idea of an electric bike.
Think he did a 40 - 45 min session in the last video, if you go through his videos he does talk about the endurance of the bike and so on as he learn about it :)
I recommend inverter generators because they produce cleaner power and are generally much quieter than traditional generators. The reduced noise alone is worth the extra cost. Enjoy the Stark! Welcome to electric motocross. It spoils you :)
@@bwhaskell thanks for your answer ! Do tout know if standard generators can cause any damage to the charger ? See you during the upcoming Varg worldwide meeting 😆
Let's hope this is not the future of the sport, no good rippin sound, no torque, just annoying RC car sounds. Does everything need to be powered by batteries nowadays?
No torque? Do you understand anything about electric motors? It's all torque and yes it's the future. In case you haven't noticed SloJoe Biden and the NWO are pushing to eliminate ICE'S with their end of the world climate change bs. The main reason is control, with electric vehicles they can shut everyone down with the push of a button if they want to limit our movement, old school gas vehicles th!ts a nogo. I do like these newbies and will be ordering one but I'll still keep my 3 Yz's 2 4 stroke yz450s and 1 Yz144 2 smoke.
definitely. Seen a video of someone absolutely sending it for 1h 16m on 100% power with 0% regen and still having 24% battery. If you ride with a bit of regen and maybe 85% or so power it will easily hold on for 1 1/2 to 2 hours on trails
Thank you Bryan for all these videos 😉greetings from France

Amazing Track! Amazing Bike! Thanks for making my work night.
that uphill rhythm(?) section looks amazing. edit: 60s later in the video "this is my favorite part of the track." 😆

I highly recommend Lincoln trail, eastfork, and echo valley mx!!! Not sure how deep in TN you are, but worth the drive!
Loving the Tennessee content!

Track looks so much fun! Nice content, keep it up.
that does truly look like an ideal track and day to pound out a few practice motos on. /jealous 🤤
you should come to NC and race at NCMP this weekend
nice track, just wondering why there are not many other new Stark owners posting on youtube?
No handbrake installed yet? I'd like to see a lap time comparison between hand and foot brake once you get used to it.
Seems like the handbrake would be better once you get used to it. You can stay on the balls of your feet. Also a right hand start is a bit safer.

Just set two power maps, one with engine braking and one without, and switch maps on the fly
@bwhaskell you think it would work fast enough?? It's three continous corners...the second being the one requiring no engining braking.
@robbietucker7815 as quick as you can press a button with your thumb
@@bwhaskell wow! 👌 thanks for the content!

I haven't heard any updates on if others are getting their Vargs. Have many been delivered or just that first batch back in April???

Range depends on a bunch of factors including your skill level. For charging, you can expect 65 minutes per 50% on 240V. Double that time on 120V.
sick track

Great info. Have you charged on 120V yet and how long does it take from zero to 100% 120/240v?
I’m getting use to hear the electric sound…. It’s almost getting weird and annoying to hear the big 450 barking 😂
Everything is ok ? It’s been a while since your last upload (:

Hi Bryan, is it necessary to use Inverter technology generator or an old one can be used ? I just received my baby… it’s insane dude. Thank you 🙏

Get mine in 3 weeks, what (quiet) generator do you recommend ?
Inverter generator over 4000 watts continuous with 240V output
When they change the looks off the bike i will buy one...right now looks like a 80' old models 😅
You run at what % engine braking?
60% here. I find that i prefer less engine braking than stock(80) on deeper softer tracks , and the stock setting is good for hard pack tracks
@@bwhaskell what a whole new world e-bikes open up where you can adjust your HP and engine braking from your cell phone.
