After Roli Seaboards became out of stock, I was looking for something which could replace Seaboards. And here I am! This midi device is compact, portable with multiple options and just simply perfect for any composers! I definitely want to get one of these and try out. Thanks for the review 🤘🏻
just found this and for 2022 is this a good option for a person that travel alot and also want to learn different type of midi contoller on a budget, looks like getting one set is much more cost effective than getting few different mini controller, plus it save lots of space for travel
Hey Taetro! Does the Joué app allow you to change the tuning on the guitar strings pad? Like if I wanted to have a cello thru violin tuning. Also, this looks like an older model. Are the half pads (drums, XY) discontinued? Great video - thanks!
I joined the kickstarter earlier this year and mine should arrive sometime next month. Have you put up some other vids for it. I'm looking forward to playing it and your thoughts.
Hi Taetro, i just saw your review with the Lemondrop, wich I really enjoyed! Now i want to ask you, if there is a way, connecting the Lemondrop Synth with the Jouè…??…. My brain collapsed, while I tried to figure it out…because I like to play piano and synth’s stand-alone and haven’t got much idea’s, how to adapt MIDI , etc…..I hope you have a little hint for me… Greetings from Lake Constance :)
Can I use it as a control surface outside of MIDI applications? Does the Pads module work as macro keys? Does the Area work as a trackpad? I want to bind keys to VS Code macros.
I feel like I'd probably get more mileage from a Seaboard Block or two, but having a Joué around wouldn't be too bad. I just didn't get as much of an "I NEED THIS" feeling as I got from Seaboard and Lumi Keys
i love the heavy key sensation. But this device could replace everything on the go and If you think green it will help to reduce the contamination of many mechanical pieces in other devices. I definitive would buy one if I had the $$
JOUE PLAY vs MORPH? You reviewed the two in a fairly close span of time. In fact, you may be the ONLY GEAR CHANNEL on TH-cam who has demo'd both. It's apparent at this point, that Morph may be out of stock...like near-forever.
just seen it to buy at the music store, 369 € a board with nothing on it(!) , or joue essential pack: the board, 5 rubber pads to put on, 479€, and a single pad made off rubber, to put onto, 19€ to 39€ (one singular stupid piece of rubber)..... so what i want to say, just "BOOOOOOO" "OVERPRICED CRAP! BOOOO"
If you going to invest your time in editing stupid camera tricks. Go ahead an invest in some Lighting. I just invested in this comment because I am a key grip and poor lighting is an insult to real film crew.
At $479 ??? NOPE ~ I can get a Native Instruments MKIII @ $525.... So, why would anyone pay so much for a Joue controller that does a lot less than the MKIII
Size. Portability. Expandibility. You can use this as multiple different controllers. Maschine is only 1. It's not really comparable. They are totally different. TBH, I'm not totally convinced this is polished enough yet, but the potential is amazing.
@@wayofki I agree completely. And there's a great market for products like this with the growing number of people producing music out of their bedrooms. Being compact is a necessity for those of us that don't have the space or don't work in a professional studio setting. Good on them!

Now cats can chew not only wiring but keys, pads, stripes, etc. Best controller of all time.
lolololol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Are you still using this? Curious how its withstood the test of time?
Just got mine from the new kickstarter. Loved your review and would love to see some tutorials and software suggestions, I’m so noob.God bless

Hey there Taetro… now that the Sensel Morph is no more, how do you feel about this as a substitute?

Greetings from Lake Constance :)
Do you need a DAW to use this? Or just the app?
So are we able to multi them up and run multiple devices with a module/set on each? Like 4 devices at once to run all modules?
Do you know if this is compatible with GarageBand?
Pretty impressive. I’d like it see what it can do after you’ve worked with it a bit.
coming soon! thanks for watching Bob!
Thinking about buying this
How does it compare with the Sensel Morph? Cheers
Nice review, I had the same reservations as you, but your explanations

That's really pretty freaking cool 😎 ❤️

Looks like they've stopped making the smaller overlays, and are charging extra ("Pro") for the programming software now.
Wow love that idea! Can you compares it with the seaboard and other roli products?
good idea!

My thoughts exactly...didn’t think of the sustainability aspect though. Great point!

To answer your question, nothing special is going on, but thanks for asking. 😎
Can I get one
Yea I’ll keep my seaboard
Sessions with it would be good.

Or you could by a Sensel Morph for almost half the price.
def a direct competitor. Hopefully I can get my hands on one of those to compare

Nice but waaaay too expensive
Roli has been banned from the game by : JOUE
Edit: Roli then bans JOUE from being a mod, because the prices are SCAM-ish!
Check out the Sensel Morph. Way cheaper
