Hunter Pace @ Tranquility Manor Farms // HELMET CAMERA

For the first time since the coronavirus shutdown, my friends and I got out on an adventure with our horses!! We went to Tranquility Manor Farms for a socially distant hunter pace, and it was super fun!
The track covered roughly 5.5 miles including woods, stream crossings, gallops through open fields, and as much cross country jumping as we wanted! All the horses were super happy and full of energy -- can't wait to go again!

So, this "Hunter pace" is like the cross country portion of eventing?

definitely very similar!! main difference is that you can do it with a group, and each rider can pick and choose whatever they want to jump, there's no judges or anything. whatever team finishes the ride closest to the optimum time (which is kept top-secret) wins!

@@gabbyjosephine yes, tho how common they are tends to vary by region. Hunter paces, paper chases, and Hunter trials are all similar types of events and seem to be offshoots from traditional old school fox hunting. So areas that have a history of fox hunting also seem to have these more modern (and accessible) type events
