For all you guys getting ready for the exam, I would reccomend taking out a notebook and organizing units and then watching through all this guys videos on each unit and writing quick notes in their correct places. Then, if you did some sort of guided notes throught the year, you should go through those and add any other notes you might have missed. Then just read it over a few times and do some of the practice tests. You should be well prepared after that. I know this is a good method I because I got a 5 on this test last year. Study good and youll do the same, good luck🙂

Dont know why this fell into my google feed, Im 9 years out of HS and 10 from my last AP History exam. May as well give some unsolicited advice to those of you taking exams.
On test day, relax. Odds are if you're taking an AP exam, you will take many more high stakes exams. Treat this as practice for your future LSAT, MCAT, GRE, Bar Exam, USMLE Board exams. Of course its stressful in the moment. That is okay, feel the stress, learn what to do, and grow from it.
Regardless of your score, a test does not define you. I bombed both the AP Chem and AP Physics exams and Im okay. Im getting a Master's in a hard science this year and applying to vet school soon. Youll be fine regardless of the outcome.

Need to clarify...for the DBQ and LEQ students get a total of 100 minutes to write both essays. It is the students responsibility to manage their time as needed. Generally, I think that a 65 DBQ and a 35 LEQ, or even 70/30 is a better breakdown, depending of course on the prompts and what you know!. Think of this another way: One point of DBQ has about the same weight as 5 MCQ. One point of LEQ has the same weight as about 3.5 MCQ. That said, if you are spending 10 minutes trying to get the last DBQ point, the time is probably better spent scoring 2-3 LEQ points in the that same time.

-Understand the category their asking you to write about (SPICE-Social, Political, Interactions with environment, Cultural, or Economic?)
-Remember what time period they are asking about
-Know the historical thinking skill they are asking for (Changes & Continuities, Cause & Effect, or Contextualization?)

And for getting picked on I have "The Classic" story better than all you MoFo's out there. Okay I'm in 9th grade. It's a holiday parade, but our Jr. High band was allowed to join the High School band for marching in the parade. There are hundreds if not thousands of people lining Main Street of my Hometown. We get to where the biggest crowd of people are watching the parade, the HS senior behind me completely de-pants me, underwear and all in front of hundreds of people. I actually trip and fall over, but the band marches on. Next thing I know I'm by myself trying to pull up my pants in front of half the town. And then I'm running at the same time pulling up my pants to catch up to the marching band and get back to my spot. Beat that! LOL.

Heimler!!! I need help! What’s the difference between the 1880s and the 1920s in terms of immigration for apush? Aren’t they both from eastern and southern Europe. What are the 2 waves?
I take world history but isnt 1880s mostly the Irish and caused by famine while the 1920s in Chinese looking for opportunity?
@@madeyouread9881 Chinese immigrants arrived on the west coast and by 1870, there were over 50,000 chinese. The question I have has to do with Europe- when and why did different parts of Europe come in. I think by 1880 the southern Europe countries began coming, just idk why 1920s
1880s was eastern europe, 1920s was from nations war torn after ww1
first one was first wave of immigration (Old Immigration) from Western and Northern Europe (mainly Irish and Germans) and 2nd wave of immigration was from Southern and Eastern Europe (Italy, balkan countries like Serbia, Austria, Hungary).

i believe so. ive been using it for apush as well and it seems on par with everything I've known and his videos. its perfectly divided into all the specific topics from collegeboard you need to know and only goes over the info that could show up. reading through it while watching heimler's video for that specific topic should be rly good review
