Bruce Lee and JCVD got me into martial arts . The one inch punch that Bruce did is a phenomenal tool to know . Also JCVD kicks etc are just mind blowing . Learnt so much over the past 30 years . JCVD my fave of all time .
It even gave me goosebumps to see the master give a quick kick that only in slow motion showed that he stopped his foot a few inches from the student's face, if he hadn't stopped it would have been a straight knockout. Only a trained master at his age can have this precision kick.

He couldn't stand his trainer and kept on wisecracking to the guy. At one point the trainer was so sick and tired about all the "jokes" at his expense, that he broke Sean Connery's wrist. The trainer was Steven Seagal and he was fired on the spot!
First off, what exactly is Van Damme a 'master' of? Secondly, the Sean Connery movie was 'Never Say Never Again' (and Seagal wasn't fired....primarily because he wasn't 'hired' in the first place, per se'.....merely an on-site advisor )
he's teaching the wrong technique in this video... in fact what he is showing will get you head kicked and knocked out. you do NOT block a leg kick with your arm... you check it with your shin. if you block it with your arm, your opponent will fake the leg kick and go to the head. van damme has no idea what he is doing.... he's good at streching.

I always thought very highly of him because he brought a new beauty to the art. I remember seeing those beautiful kicks he did in kickboxer which I'm not sure existed before him . His art has always been balletic which is why he's probably the most beautiful and graceful artist ive seen. Respect and admiration to you Jean Claude.

1:02 Crecent kicks are always overlooked but when the opponent is not used to them, they always fail to dodge or block. Very effective when you are wearing shoes.

That was a hook side kick, not a crescent kick. Crescent kicks are when your feet are pretty much vertical.
