I really liked this movie, and how they kinda show how K Stewarts character wants to distance herself from her dad and that she isn't a killer like him, but the final shot shows that she is that person, how she decides to choke her to death so casually. The climax is huh inducing but again it works because there's a sign in the gym that says something like "your mind makes your reality" or something like that, and the ending is just that it is her version of reality
Prob my fave film of the year so far. LOVED it. So much. Great cast, intensity, incredible direction, I'm here for it. Even liked the metaphors at the end. I interpreted it to mean she found her own strength, didn't need the 'roids any more. That was a goal of hers from the beginning, when she goes into the gun range for the first time she hints at it.
Hey Rob! It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie with this aura as well. It’s refreshing and nothing short of what I’d expect from an A24 film! Plus I was mesmerized by Katy! I actually grabbed my weights too and started lifting when you did! 😂😂 Great reaction as always!
Thanks for reacting to this underrated movie, Rob. My favorite of the year. Word of advice..don't overdose on hershey kisses trying to get into that strongman contest, bruh. They only have 0.3 grams of protein.😉😂😂
@@therobw Not sure but this definitely reminds me of the Joker movie. It feels like a real life portrayal of she-hulk...then the end is straight out of a marvel movie lol
yeah ed harris did look like the crypt keeper and the only issue i had is when she became a giant that was too silly but yeah it was my first time seeing that actress too and she did good in this , yeah dude this movie was great
Been subscribed for a while. I know it must be like traversing land mines doing some of these videos lol. I appreciate the content. Idk if you have an editor or if it’s just you, but either way, your editing is getting better as well brother!
You keep mentioning great movies you've watched so I hesitate to even suggest "Mulholland Drive", "Lost Highway" and "Blue Velvet" (all David Lynch movies) Again if you've seen them you know--they involve things going from seemingly ideal reality to total clusterfuck/erotic thriller/trippy alternate reality. This was a great watch. Thanks!
@@therobwI just hope, no one else spoiled Ravenous too much for you yet. It's one of those films that are better when you go in knowing almost nothing... I'm just listening to the musical score again right now..... 😅🤭....... 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍😍😍😍 ..... So good....... And the acting is great... Guy Pearce?.... Robert Carlyle?.... and even a small role for David Arquette. I think this must have been between Scream 2 and 3....
Ok I might be reading too much in to it because $25 is too much for me to watch it once so I've watched it a bunch but hear me out: Jackie has been told for a long time that she is a monster. Her mom mentions it on the phone. The Monster is usually the sign of being in trouble. The monster hits that guy outside the gym. The monster face-bashes her own girlfriend. The Monster refuses to listen and fxcks off to Vegas, but in that one moment in the courtyard, when it's nothing but scumbag v. scumbag, and her woman was staring down the inevitable, the monster is the best option. The Monster can be a hero, even just for like, 30 seconds, so she let's it loose, and it easily wins.
Ew Kristen Stewart 😂 nah fam gotta do better then that Nicole Kidman she a babe Jennifer Aniston she a babe drew Barrymore she’s a babe hell I’d choose Sandra bullock over a K Stewart but each they own 😂😂😂
I'm a simple girl, I see someone reacting to love lies bleeding, I click

Truly one of the most “everyone’s opinion is gonna interpret it different” type endings and I’m cool with that

Thanks for doing videos on underrated movies
Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Love Lies Bleeding is my cup of tea. My towering, swole, sequined cup of tea.
Haha
Awesome! This was a lot of fun, and you have a black and white cat like me
Thanks for checking out the vid!
I met a handful of friends from them asking me for a stoge. I smoke flower, but figured someone at a festival would love a stoge. This movie…. My lord
When I used to smoke that was the an easy way to make friends for sure. I def don’t miss it though

If she could turn green this would have been the marvel movie of the year.
lol is there even any other coming out this year?
@@therobw Not sure but this definitely reminds me of the Joker movie. It feels like a real life portrayal of she-hulk...then the end is straight out of a marvel movie lol
Watched this a week ago mainly because I adore Kristen Stewart, and absolutely loved it. Great reaction as always Rob.
I’m a huge Kstew fan as well! Thanks for watching other Rob
This didn't give me Good Times but I see it now that you mentioned.
What it did give was A History of Violence, another Ed Harris classic.
Great call! History of Violence is fantastic
You beat me to it!
damn, look at those gains!
💪🏻💪🏻
Truly a jaw-dropping performance from Franco
haha totally
A very interesting movie and even tho I hated it I did like that they weren't shy with showing the obsessive/possesive nature Daisy had towards Lou
lol at least you have something else to say besides, “movie sucks”. Thanks for watching!
@@therobw thanks for the reaction :)
Movie recommendation for you to react to: DEVIL (2010), an underrated, tense, claustrophobic horror with a surprising ending, you will enjoy it.

Looking good Rob!!
Thanks Cap!

lol I'm no Katie O'Brien though!
Another great film you should check out (if you haven't already) where someone innocent gets entangled in chaotic nonsense is The Passenger
Heard that was great!
i super enjoyed this one. ✨
Likewise!

Blue Velvet is my fav Lynch movie but that’s a good comparison in terms of tone!
Kind of gives me Requiem for a Dream. Definite Aronofsky vibes here.
Just checking if I already missed the Ravenous (1999) reaction.... 😅🤭
Haha although it lost the poll, I still intend on checking it out before the end of the year

That intro tho 😂

I think this movie might take place in New Mexico. Idk about gang relations but that really looks like the landscape.
Either that or Nevada since her competition was in Vegas
Damit, i have to wait, in Germany is the movie on june available
Lmk what you think when you finally check it out!
@@therobw June, 8 on Amazon
I completely enjoyed this movie but at the end of it what the phuck? She went Incredible Hulk and pin Ed to the ground 😮
