If you can hold any asset, gold, dollar, stocks, or property for very long time like 10-15 years, you will never incur loss. So why are you saying there is no loss only in property. We have plot in Gulshan-e-Saadi which was 180k few years ago. Now we are selling it for 125k. You never know when you have to liquidate any asset and register loss as this is life and unforseen issues occur.
