Here's the thing about Shigaraki which I find very interesting. He scratches his neck as a defense mechanism to deal with stress. Now most people would find that disturbing and kinda gross, but because I do the exact same thing, to me I just find it sad, and it's obvious to me he's not just a one-dimensional character if he deals with stress that unhealthily.

That would be a pretty brilliant gambit. Bakugo using his powers to win what amounts to a schoolyard fight fight would pretty much ban him from ever being a professional hero. MHA basically operates on Harry Potter rules after all. Meanwhile, nothing much would stop a toned up Deku from beating him bloody!
