Everyones name in the series is a pun to their personality for instance tadano hitohito just translates to "just a person" with perfectly fits with his average person personality. Komi shouko's name is quite literally a pun with the word Comishyou which is communication disorder

@@Culo_Sniffin_Cheezit from what i know the name puns in other anime are ethier very subtle or there are very few character who have it. Komi-san however as far as i can tell literally has every character with a pun in thier name (aside from a few minor characters like tadano's mom's which is foreign) and they it isnt subtle at all if you know basic commonly used japanese terms.
