    Best explanation of video modes I've seen. When are the GoPro Studio templates going to be updated? There aren't any new templates to use with all of the new cameras and footage shot on them.

    Since TH-cam offers 60fps videos i would always go for it, the action gets so much smoother.

    • @justflo1735
      @justflo1735 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** imo are gamingvideos in 60fps the best reallife video are in 30 fps better on youtube just my opinion :P

    • @MixedRealitySimRacing
      @MixedRealitySimRacing 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have a lot motion, more frames are always better, that's why more and more movies are captured in HFR which doubles the fps from 24 to 48 and makes a huge difference. 1080p60fps looks so smooth and everyone can watch it, 4k has a bit more details but nearly no one has screen to really benefit from it anf the used bandwidth is also a lot greater

    • @MixedRealitySimRacing
      @MixedRealitySimRacing 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are some 60 to 30fps comporison videos, when something is moving through the view or the camera is moving you have always stuttering at some speeds with 30fps and the doubled frame rate fix this.

    Great video, just one question I would like to ask.. Which setting is better in terms of quality? Recording at 1440@60FPS or 1080@60FPS? (Regardless having to stretch in post production stages).

  • @ClubbersNL
    @ClubbersNL 9 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Now can you show the editing process? My video's are not that sharp, crisp and colorfull as the video's on your channel. I convert the footage in gopro studio to mp4 and then edit in Sony Vegas. Am i doing something wrong? I am using protune

    • @yannickdemoor607
      @yannickdemoor607 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clubbers maybe use colour correction, idk mine are also not that brilliant looking as on the gopro channel

    • @thomas.kovacik
      @thomas.kovacik 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Editing helps, but it's about how you shoot, when you shoot and what settings you use

    • @xyzMadara
      @xyzMadara 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Clubbers why the hgeck are u converting the footage first and then editing? U have to edit with the RAW footage to get maximum Quallity when u editiing.

    • @yannickdemoor607
      @yannickdemoor607 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      when you shoot is indeed important, i've filmed some surfing a few weeks ago and the footage looks like shit when it's a bit cloudy outside. but i can imagine that the gopro team has more than a few days to shoot this kind of footage.

    • @pierrekiwiz
      @pierrekiwiz 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clubbers if you use protune then in goprostudio use the protune effect. It will increase contrast and sharpness.
      For the colors add sone saturation.
      I recommend not to use GoPro studio to import footage if you then edit with another software.

    Hi. I recently got a GoPro Hero 5 and want to do slow motion videos, not time lapse. But I cannot seem to get it right. The settings I'm using are 1080p at 120/fps and it doesn't seem to slow it down. I don't know if there's anything I'm doing wrong, anything extra I have to do, or wrong settings, I'm still getting used to it. Any advice? Thanks

    • @GoProTips
      @GoProTips  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      James Scull If you're making an edit, you will generally edit on a 1080 timeline, so anything that isn't 1080 will need to be stretched to fit.

    • @GoProTips
      @GoProTips  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      James Scull If you're not experienced with dynamically stretching your footage, SuperView is always a good way to go! Gets the same effect as 1440p footage (capturing more in the frame) but the camera does the stretching for you.

    At 3:30 you say that an increase in fps will weaken the image quality. Is this realy correct? If you are shooting 1440, the image quality should be the same (as many pixels) whith both 80 and 30 fps. I get that you can chose to shoot 4k in the expence of 1080p's 120 fps since the camera cant handle both high res and high fps, but when you are actually shooting 1080 or 1440, you should always get that same res, regardless of the fps. Or am i mistaken??

    • @jamesdoe5824
      @jamesdoe5824 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes when you record more fps, the camera has to process more information therefore sacrificing quality. You can find many videos on TH-cam comparing the quality of video recorded at different frame rates
