A New Life

I actually like this narrator. I've had to turn off many-a-good stories because of some reader trying to read too dramaticly. I just wanted someone to read the dang book without sounding like an amateur actor. Just can't please everyone. But some like this better. Thanks!

Book titled as book 1 and book 2 both starts out saying it's book 2. Which one is real book 2 and which one is real book 1. I'm guessing this is really book 1.
AI really takes all of the excitement and emotion out of the story. I hate it when AI reads things like dots, hyphens, etc.
Reader’s phrasing is odd . This makes the book hard to listen to. I want to be taken in by the story . Not robot reading and not syrupy drama. I don’t know how this works,but do the authors approve the narration ? I would not want my books read this way
Would have liked to finish this but you have way too many Ad breaks -6 in the first 30 minutes-and the AI reader is annoying. One of AI’s problems is when it comes across a word like ‘tear’ which has three meanings and two pronunciations. it doesn’t know which to use. In this book, when the story said she had a tear on her cheek (as in-she was crying) AI chose the wrong meaning and pronounced the word as if she had a rip in her cheek. Too many commercials. We know this is a business but don’t try to make all your money on the first book.
The publishing company DESPERATELY NEED to get another person to read this book. This narrator is flat and atonal making it impossible to listen to the full book.
Probably quite a good story but I’ll never know because I can’t sit thru the monotonal reading.

Not really. Authors can have different version of audiobooks and since the author is giving this away for free, it’s hard to justify investing thousands of dollars in an audiobook, when the return on investment is not there. Instead, many authors offer an AI version for free, or at an inexpensive price. Later on, when the book makes more money, the author will have a professional narrator create another version, which will be the premium audio experience.
I stopped listening because I found the narration very flat with pauses in odd places.. Shame because I likedthe story

Is this an AI narrator?
The mispronunciation of words and sentence structure is way off. If it's a real person she doesn't know how to use inflection and intonation.... I like the story but not how it is being read. 😢
cant take the AI speech w/ no inflection, so i didnt last long into the story. but the beginning was interesting.
AI bad dot. Story is so so. Lot of repeated descriptions. Had to finish to see how it ended.
Do all the people complaining about the AI reading the story understand that a real human is not giving them turn by turn instructions on their gps machines in their cars?

The first 2 books start as book 2. One of them is book 1. My best guess is this one comes before the other book 2.
