The frozen pool was pretty fun but still had to be careful not to throttle it too much. Lol
I watched another review on this truck, same issues. His kept shutting off just like yours. Bottom line, it's junk. Thanks for the video, keep them coming.

I know this was a long time ago but you need to do something with that CROBOLL buggy because it whent through some things and I’m thinking about buying one and doing some upgrades of my own and I would like you to do more with it because I did not thing it reached its full potential but anyways you and a great guy and love your content ❤ keep doing what your doing

Well, the smaller cheaper cars are basically a gamble now a days.

The better cheaper brands this doesn’t happen much. Another reviewer did a video on this car just yesterday and had the same outcome. Just a junky car. HBX and MJX and other good ones seem to have low numbers of defects. This one it just seems they used the wrong ESC on production 🤣

Hi have you tested traxxas stampede vxl 2wd are there reliable. what s best 2wd 1 8 or 1 10 monster struck is there many about

Same here. Another review had same problems so not a fluke. ESC must have defect across the board on these cars. Cuts out on the load of the vehicle during basic running.
Yup I just watched it last night. Either defective or underpowered. Either way, steer clear! Lol

I just watched tomleys video. It’s identical to the 903a except it is able to run 3s.
He had trouble landing tricks, which I had the same issues with the 903a.
Hopefully they’ll make a version of the 2997a soon!!

I believe they’re completely different. This one looks much bigger. This one is 4s and has a center diff, which is funny cuz I didn’t see that advertised anywhere except on the actual box. In small print lol

i didn't mean to imply that you exclusively review cheaper cars, i just realized that the majority of your videos i have watched have been less expensive rigs is all, and most other people that review even cheaper or more budget friendly stuff still use a SKYRC or something that, and i dont want to use my phone either, i snot laughed at "fiction shocks" btw, i dig ur videos man, u are a ton rougher than i would be qith any of those cars, so if they survive you then i feel i may have a chance

I like this gps better in some ways but it seems slower to catch up to speed and it also takes much longer to find a satellite. Also easier to locate if it flies off the car if you get the red one. amzn.to/486WsC1

It's sad because this thing looks very sturdy, but it's basically a roller at this point lol, trash everything. When I first saw it for sale I noticed it's like an upgraded Rlaarlo model and it's cheaper, now I know where's the catch. Thanks for the review, I'm still curious about the potential of this platform, the only way to find out right now is dropping it from a building or something.
I may still pop a better esc in there and see what it’s got. Who knows! Lol
My cheapest brushless is as HBX 18th scale. It's about the cheapest I'm willing to go.
I find 1/18 too small for a basher though they definitely have their place, even though I actually just filmed a 1/24 basher that was rather impressive. Fun for indoors too.
@@DerbyCityRC That's about all it does. It's too small and too fast. It will flip over way too easy and kind of takes the fun out of it. It's decent quality though, but I wish I would have started with a 12th scale. It was my introduction back into RC since I was a kid.
Yup I hear ya. I have a 18859a I think it is. Used it like twice. 1/16 scale is about as small as I like to go usually. They have their place for sure.

I don't think it was bad luck on your ESC, I saw another video on it (Beyond RC) and his did the same. Just awful garbage component specs.
Yup I watched it right as I was uploading this one last night. Absolutely crazy.
We gave it almost the exact same reviews and mentioned good cars in the same price range. Mine seemed to lose power even easier than his did.
@@DerbyCityRC With his video I thought maybe it was lousy range of the transmitter, but you really proved out that it was more of an ESC issue.

Another UK youtuber has exactly the same problems, the car esc turns off by itself and also he is disappointed with the friction shocks. Also say that the tyres are hard rubber plastic and they have bad traction.
Yup I just saw his video last night. Crazy that it’s not just a defective unit, it’s a horribly planned car either with mostly/all defective units, or it’s underpowered and shuts down. That can happen with bad batteries too which is why I tried a different batt. Hopefully not many people have bought one or atleast check for videos first.
@@DerbyCityRC youtubers like you and others have save a lot of money for us that we don't have the economically power to buy every cheap rc we like. So people should watch your videos to decide what is best for them. When there are alot of chinese rc makers these problems created. That's why i see your videos. Also i can't understand why they don't stop make friction shocks, this is one of my biggest complains about cheap rc cars. Sell it more expensive but make it better. It's so simple.

It shouldn’t cost a manufacturer more than a couple bucks to source oil filled shocks. Everyone is complaining about them now. All the big channels and little ones alike. It’s nuts!!
