- Sanji's Actor Taz Skylar int he One Piece Netflix Live action got a lot of backlash early on and he nailed the role basically if not better. Took professional kickboxing classes, cooking classes and it became his hobby. Behind the scenes he would cook for the backstage crew and production staff while still filming and dressed as sanji. Actually if we really take it logically he is actually acting, because one piece was originally a manga and then anime, and then they wanted to make a live action of it. Sanji is one of the characters of one piece so it cannot be true that a Japanese cartoon can be in real life.

The whole cast was PERFECT for their individual roles. And their chemistry with each other? PERFECTION. They're all so dedicated to their roles and you love to see it. Anyone who insults the actors has clearly never sat down and watched the show.
Yeah, I hesitate to even think of side characters that I think the actors didn’t nail. The casting was perfect, and the writers cared enough about the source material, the audience, and the actors to not screw up the writing.

They turned usopp's mom black, turned Lucky Roux from Shanks crew black, turned Nami's sister Nojiko black, turned Gin black, even retconned Patty into a black person. Retconning characters into black people wherever they can, it was to the point I was worried Garp, Shanks and Gold Roger were going to be black as well.
And we know thats not how Oda imagined these characters in real life because they are clearly different in the manga and anime, netflix forced him to do it.
Funny part is that by doing this they've demonstrated they dont even understand one piece, the true meaning of freedom. They actually took away roles, jobs, opportunities and representation from actually underrepresented minorities in the anime, from characters of arabic descent all the way to the mediterranean. Every single character retconned into a black person was portrayed as an entirely different minority in the manga and anime.
These people never operated on logic, just listen to the loudest complainers... you know who. Even funnier is that black people have been complaining about fictional characters being retconned into white people for half a century now, just to show that they'll jump at the chance to do the exact same thing.
I would say black people are worse than the people they've been complaining about their whole lives, because by complaining you showed that you know exactly what you are doing, which is stealing representation away from underrepresented minorities with less opportunities. After complaining for fifty years, notice that their community is completely silent about retconning minority characters as themselves on every movie and tv show, they have no shame

Sanji personality other than the obvious pervert he is is actually a very husband material. He is one of the kindest and most compasionate man in the series and unlike most men he knows when someone is upset when someone needs help. He is the first one to realise Robin is lying in water 7. He immediately help Tashigi and the Children in punk Hazard after somehow hear she is crying. He knows Violet isn't a bad person. And he knows Pudding real true personality after breaking through her multiple layer of fake persona. He most likely still knows pudding like him despite she erased their kiss from his memory. Isn't every woman dream about a men that understand what they wanted without needing to say anything Sanji thanks to his insane observation Haki is that kind of men.

When you have the perfect actor who loves the character, looks and acts the part, and is overall practically perfect for the role, you better make sure you have writers that also love the source material and don’t hate their audience.

because in the film, luffy action was held back by the actor lack of fight skill,

Bruh I loved Sanji, I loved how he dialed down Sanji's creep factor from the anime and made it more suave and flirty in the live action. I also love his hustle and passion for this character, like the way he cooks and his fight scenes were so realistic and beautifully done.
Yeah he doesn't have his iconic eyebrows, but it probably wouldn't translate well on the live action, but he does share the essence of the character and is driven to do a good job and it really shows. I think he did a really great job with the character.
It was the creep factor and those eyebrows that I didn’t like about Sanji in the anime and manga. But I love Taz as Sanji

I think people were making a fuss because they were comparing the actors to Oda’s drawings and going “But they don’t look like that.” Frankly I’m happy for these guys they don’t look like that. They look like the real people they are and they sure do embody their characters perfectly.

@@rcyuit's actually pretty good! Some of the cinematography was really enjoyable. I recomend watching a clip of their fight against Buggy- the lighting is incredible and the composition was so ominous when he splits into flying pieces that I felt I finally got how scary that scene could have been. Made me wonder how awesome the fights would be for CP9. If I had on irk, I'd say the paving is kinda weird but they try to offset that by using longer episodes.. idk. Good show :)

Ngl, I used to be one of those people who questioned Sanji's casting choice but the moment I saw his charisma and choreography in the show, I was instantly sold on him being the best choice for Sanji.

nobody hated on him. even every japanese person asked on the streets said he was perfect.
When they announced the cast every one piece fan hated on him based on appearance alone with no other reason at all, of course this changed but only after the season was released

There are many touching scenes in the series, but the only time I cried was when Sanji was saying goodbye to Zeff as the Straw hats were leaving Baratie

Taz Skylar did his utmost to literally become Sanji! How could you not respect him for that!?
& he became the best actor amongst the crew. Taz really outshined everybody. Once Sanji finally got introduced , the whole crew’s dynamic changed for the better. Their acting got better and they felt more like a crew. Not a only did he put in a lot of work but you could really feel the passion in his acting. The back and forth fussing with him and Zeff felt so real it was so damn good. Taz was definitely the best actor 🔥🫶🏾

Everyone in the cast , especially the strawhats , absolutely nailed it ! Their interviews and stuff really showed how passionate they all were about the show and their passion and heart really shines and translates onto the screen
