This is in my top 5 favorite videos from whs!!! Awsome stuff!!! I watch this one and a few others over and over, it's funny how I notice a little phrase or tid bit that hits me square in the face and blows my mind how much this guy knows what he's doing!!!
Gotta say Jeff, this might be my favorite video of yours. Its not just because of the information, its because I came to the same conclusions of my own before ever seeing your video.
Looks a lot bigger than 30 acres. Could you do a video showing how you would access some of your stands with the same map in this vid? That'll really help us, more so than the actual stand sites. My biggest challenge has always been "how the heck do I get in here and get out without being detected".
If you scout your area and know the travel corridores and terrain then its as easy as knowing what the wind direction is and how your thermals work and how that plays into your area and you can predict deer movement. If deer are coming from a direction you didnt expect then you havent done your home work. This man makes theses videos on properties that he walks and scouts thoroughly and puts all the pieces together. He uses his first hand knowledge of the land and his years of proven experiences in the field to put this picture together then duplicates it on other propertys by scouting. Knowledge is key and everything ya need to know the deer leave behind if you know what to look for. Simply put there is no video you can watch that can tell you how to access or hunt your land or anywhere for that matter you need to take some tips and some experience and a lil know how and use that first hand . Good luck out there and hunt safe.

Hi Jeff, Great video as always. One thing that I would like to see is how you actually access these hill country stands. It seems that if you are coming up from the bottom that you would blow out a lot of deer from the thermals and elevation advantage that they deer have. Jeff I would love to see what you would recommend to people that have properties like we have here in south central Nebraska. I hunt a property that is 160 acres. 22 acres is trees that are 60 yards at the widest point because they follow a creek bottom. There is 9 acres of alfalfa on up next to the trees so that has helped a little but it is rough. The whole square mile has 29 acres of trees and the only trees for several miles either direction only follow the creek the rest is crop ground. This is the same guy who says that peeing in the woods will not hurt your hunting. He says you can even pee in a scrape and it will not hurt it. This is hog wash. Deer will know the difference. If a doe comes to a scrape and pees in it and then a buck comes by 3 hours later he will know if that doe is in estrous or not. If he can tell that then he will know if it is human or deer. You can't believe everything that these so called experts on deer are saying. If you have any common sense at all will tell you that companies are selling and developing deer scents to attract deer not humans.

@@suzmell1 I fully agree Paul, but with that being said this is also a foundation of habitat improvements, deer hunting strategy and herd management that will last as long as you own the land. That foundation of daily movement is so critical....I am really looking forward to you experiencing how your land will change drastically and positively, after the improvements!! Can't wait Paul 🙂
So you fixing to be by me early afternoon on May 16 & sometime in the morning hours of the 17th yes
@@suzmell1 I believe so Paul...whatever Diane says, I don't even have a schedule. She is the boss 😎 for sure...sounds right tho!
Awesome video Jeff! With a property consisting of three blocks of woods and a cattail marsh in the center holding the majority of bedding, how do you suggest creating travel corridors to hold the bucks consistently?
Great Video, Thanks
You are welcome Nick and thank you very much? Really hope it helps you this year
Do You still add water holes when there’s creeks and run off? Thanks
Great advice.
Thank you Randle!
I was thanking the hinge cutting will make great places for hen turkeys to nest in to brother.
I would think so too Randle!
Jeff, what's the best way to contact you for a consulting? I'm in central IL
Hi Jason...all scheduling good thru my wife at info@whitetailhabitatsolutions.com or the work line at 608-452-2632. We are in your area towards the end of March/2020...would be great to schedule something for you of that time frame works out for you. I know that's a long ways off!
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 thanks for the quick response! Next year would be better for me anyway. I will send her an email. Thanks for all of the content you provide!
@@jasonpage5872 that sounds great Jason, and you are very welcome! We already have someone booked down there with deposit, during a very specific time. I book from Dec to September, but I would guess my only time down there in 2020 just because of the way our schedule is booked out or typically books out.
Thanks Jason, she will respond right away...her name is Diane.
How many acres is this ?
30 acres of woods, 8 acres of fields
You talk the truth
This is the same guy who says that peeing in the woods will not hurt your hunting. He says you can even pee in a scrape and it will not hurt it. This is hog wash. Deer will know the difference. If a doe comes to a scrape and pees in it and then a buck comes by 3 hours later he will know if that doe is in estrous or not. If he can tell that then he will know if it is human or deer. You can't believe everything that these so called experts on deer are saying. If you have any common sense at all will tell you that companies are selling and developing deer scents to attract deer not humans.
Ha, watch the vids bud...1000s of hours if B roll after peeing in scrape. Get out of the dark ages and educate yourself. Old news. I suggest you find a channel with poor information...plenty of those and probably fits your style more 😁 move along...
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 J&J is most likely his own worst enemy... Texas A&M has done studies on human urine in deer scrapes... .. I urinate in gatorade bottles through out the season in NYS and then I freshen up scrapes. The big buck pictures I get are amazing...
