Yeah I must say I wasn’t a huge fan of the Supra in black, and that blue wrap really transformed this car. That black blue mix is unique and looks amazing. It looks a bit like the blue from the Nissan Z.

Quick question and not sure if you'll see this or respond.. i am thinking about purchasing one of these and was not sure as to why there is a almost cotton like area surrounding the back side of the horn emblem... I see that the cutouts are the same, but do you think that the aftermarket one not having this material could be dangerous in a collision?? Thanks!
Not too sure to be honest. That definitely a good point. The aftermarket one does have the same grooves in the plastic where the cover should rip apart. But wouldn't really know for sure unless it was tested

I believe that's probably one of the most important steps when installing a new steering wheel, so that you don't have the horn blasting in your ears. I wouldn't want to loose my ear drums
There are little slots in the back you'll see. Poke right there. Yeah they are permanent holes, but its all rubber and they close back up for the most part and you'll never see them anyways since they are on the back
I don’t mind the stock steeeing wheel, but understand why some find it a bit too thin. Have to say my 2017 leather GT86 one felt better. Love yr middle horn part that looks really nice.
Hi there, the new wheel looks great. My only concern is whether the airbag will still work properly after putting it in the new housing. That bit of the process seemed a bit dodgy to me?
It shouldn't have any issues. Make sure you don't unpack the airbag and it will fit perfectly into the new one. Also the new airbag cover has the grooves cut in it that will rip apart for it to function. So there shouldn't be any issues
Nice man! Did you waning lights? We installed a shift indicator steering wheel on my 2021 Supra last year. I love it, but now my cruise control wont engage. Im thinking its not centered properly.
Oh cool! No warning lights on my car and all the buttons work perfect since they didn't get changed. Maybe you didn't plug everything in? There is only one way to put the wheel back on, so it should be centered. Might just need to adjust your tie rod ends to get your wheels straight
If the new Nismo is only Auto, then that’s a big No from me 😅. 9 speed is not good in that car. If it’s got a manual I’m sure it’ll give the Supra a run! So we’ll see

Do you know why some models have the t60 torx bolt like yours and some have the 16mm bolt? I'm doing mine in a month and trying to gather all the right tools. Also, was the impact wrench not working well enough?
2023 has the torque bolt. For what ever reason they changed it for that year. Impact wrench didn't get it. Breaker bar was the only way I could get it off. Need a lot of grip on the wheel to hold it while someone else pushes the bar down
Not really actually. They are design to only go off when it gets the electronic signal or some charge to the connections. Once unplugged, as long as you dont touch a batter to exposed wires, your good.
Pulling the negative off won't really do anything. Taking the positive is what takes power out of the car. I didn't reconnect the battery till the airbag was plugged in. Once it's plugged in it won't go off unless the car gets an impact
The leather airbag cover and carbon accent look cool, but the rim looks like it came out of a tacky and cheesy batmobile, the original with the center cover would probably look more stylish and classy, and better made for sure

I also like how it has a flat bottom, that way you don't have worry about hitting your lega on the wheel.
Yeah it's very functional! And being carbon fiber, it slides on your leg better to make it a tad easier to get in and out! Love it!

I did a similar mod to my mk5 but I regret not doing the airbag cover. Good thing it's not too expensive at 200 ish.

There are open vents to replace them. But they don’t lead to anything, so they’d still be useless. I look at them as trim pieces

Removing the airbag is literally the worst, i just replaced my steering wheel 3 days ago. Ive been having nightmares about the airbag ever since.
As long as you disconnected the battery it should be fine. They are designed to only go off if a charge is applied to the wires

The torque spec for the steering wheel bolt is actually only 45lbs

Nope. Why would you? Once you disconnect the battery, the car doesn’t know your unplugging others things

Tried the breaker bar and no budge. Then used an impact for that T60 bolt and it came right off.
Oh nice. Your impact gun we stronger than mine. I had to hold the wheel super tight of it to not turn while we used the breaker bar

These wheels are great! I've had other wheels from this company on multiple cars and they are great! I like the look.
