How to Create Shapes in Inkscape [Inkscape 1.0 for Beginners]

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a range of different shapes in Inkscape. I will introduce you to using the shape tools in Inkscape to draw object shapes and modify simple individual shapes to have different shapes. In a follow up video we will learn how to make new shapes by compounding simple ones using boolean path operations (union, difference, intersection, exclusion, division, cut path, combine).
All the concepts that are shown here apply to Inkscape across the platform from Windows, Mac, and Linux.

The keyboard shortcuts mentioned do not work on my Mac. Is there a translator for this somewhere?

Use Command for Mac where you hear Control for PC. For example, Control + Copy (Windows) equals Command + Copy (Mac). A list is found here: shortcutworld.com/Inkscape/mac/Inkscape_Shortcuts
