I'm glad you went with my recommendation. As I said in your other video, these bikes are hard to beat. Had a '19 DL1000 and it was a delight, more power, but less gas mileage, heavier, taller seat, more electronic gizmos you don't need. The 2.5k mile trip I took was with a Z900RS and the little 650 had no problem keeping up and it was the one that carried the extremely heavy load.I have 5 bikes, all fairly new and more power and tech, but I usually reach for the DL. BTW, I have the oem engine guard that everyone replaces with a skid plate, but it really keeps the crud off the engine and took some pretty good hits. Looks good too.Have fun.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I am excited to put some miles on my new V-Strom and take it camping. I did a lo tof research before pulling the trigger and I could not find anything bad about the V-Strom.
Yea, I think I made a good choice going with the V-Strom. I did a lot or research before I bought the bike so I am pretty confident I have the bike I need.
Congratulations for the new motorcycle!
Thanks.
Good luck with the vstrom man... its a great choice.
Ride safe 👍👊👊
Thanks, will do!
And I was right! Congratulations Gene! Awesome bike you have now and I bet you’ll ride it much more than you were your Indian.
Thanks. I’m sure I’ll have a lot of fun on it.

V-Strom 650 is my guess, based on your earlier test ride.
Congratulations on your new motorcycle. I envy you with the abs. I wish I had that on my motorcycle.
I made sure that I bought a bike with ABS as that was one of my major considerations when shopping for a bike.
I guessed correctly! Those are such fun bikes. Congratulations!
Thanks. I am excited to put some miles on it.
GREAT bikes and bulletproof. You won't get buyers remorse, trust me.
Smart trade. Way more versatile. Don’t underestimate how good it is to have traction control, especially on thin slick mud atop hard pack.
I am sure I will enjoy the bike and I am excited to put some miles on the bike.
Congrats on the new bike 👍
Thanks.
13,000 miles? That's nothing!
Thank you! I am considering the Suzuki V Strom 650 for my South American ride.
Good choice!
Yamaha Tenere
i've had three; they're just so great. The engine's indestructible. I made my last one into a naked, lost 35 pounds
