Its the week before Christmas and despite my general good luck no electrician can be found in my part of the world for such mundane call out. So after I attempted to do this just by staring at it and subsequently injuring my ring finger from those horrid springs I found your video. What a beauty. Thank you and I really mean it.
Thanks - all 4 in my bathroom had gone. After the first one I went to change the bulb, saw wires and panicked. Arranged for an electrician to come and give me a quote. Finances meant I cancelled and checked your video instead. All changed now by myself. Thank you :)
Thank you so much I did it no problem at all as one Bulb blew at my Grandparents House in the Kitchen my Grandad has Parkinson’s and needs a handyman to replace them but not anymore as I can now do it for him 😊
I still can't work out how to get the clip back. Sorry but what way up do the prongs go and do you have to have them in a particular place when you put the light back? I can't seem to do it though I've watched this three times. Sorry...
That particular type of spotlight bulb is called a 2 Pin MR16 bulb. It's 50mm in diameter. There is also a 2 Pin MR11 bulb which is 35mm in diameter. I hope that has helped. Thanks for watching.
Hi.. thanks for making this informative video.. I have same type of spotlight.. however after removing the circlip.. I notice that it is stuck in the bulb housing.. it looks like bulb is bit twisted inside the housing.. any suggestions how to remove it?
This can happen if the bulb has been in the housing for a long time. Ensure the light is switched off and the bulb is cool. Give it a wiggle and twist to see if it will loosen. You could also dislodge it with a screwdriver but be careful not to shatter the bulb. If you feel confident enough to lower the entire spotlight (the housing itself) you may be able to push the bulb out from the back. Best of luck
Sometimes the bulbs just get wedged in. Once the bracket has been removed just try and give it a wiggle or use a small spoon or blunt knife to try and leaver it out carefully. Please ensure the lights are turned off and the bulb is cool. Good luck.
Finally a short and to the point how-to video, no asking to like and subscribe and dragging the video out for 10 minutes with nonsense.

Thank you! Someone wanted to charge us £25 to change it. Plus the cost of the bulb cheeky sod! Thanks for showing us how simple it is!!
Easy to understand , and straight to the point . Thank you 😊
Thank you so much. You've helped a woman maintain her independence! 😊
Tell this for the feminists (just joking my dear😂)
And for a man too 😂
Thank you very much from a woman who just changed two bulbs by herself 😊
Finally, some spotlights like mine. It took me over an hour to do 12 as I'm nervous even on stepladders.
Changed my spotlight in less than 60 seconds, thanks to you 😀

Cheers mate. Was struggling putting the metal part at the end back on👌
Thanks for this. Will be getting spotlights fitted throughout the house, so think this will come in very handy :-)
Thaaaaaank you! I can't tell you how helpful this was. I was stuck trying to change my ceiling lights. Now I can see again, yay!
“Have a cup of tea” in an instructional video has to be the most British thing ever
Very clear step by step explanation, thank you
Legend, thank you. Just saved me £200.

Thank you, this video was really helpful! ❤️
Thank you I needed this
Getting the spring clip back in was tricky but seeing someone do it pushed me on to do it.
I’m going to try. Thank you.
Thank you for your guidance

Very helpful. Just need to work out what you call this style of bulb.
I love you man, I truly really love you
Fantastic, really helpful thanks
Thank you. Couldn't work out how to do it! 30 seconds later two out and changed
Perfect!! Helped so much :)
That cuppa surely was delicious. Thanks, though!
Great job. I couldn't work out if the prongs fitted into recesses somewhere on the rim, or what. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks for such a helpful video 😊👍🏽
You're the best
Thank you so very much!!!
Thanks a lot❤
Wow I wish I watched this before I took the bracket off by bending the prongs with a screwdriver like the eejit I am :D we live and learn
What do you do if the bulb doesn't drop when you take the bracket out???
It could just be stuck in place as it hasn’t been removed before. Just give it a wiggle and a twist and it should loosen.
Damn, Why did I not think about this?
Well hoho
Thanks!!
Thank you!
Nice and clear👍
Brilliant! Thank Rob!
Thank you so much
