South Africa has 9 car manufacturing plants and a few car assembly plants. Used to be the largest car producer in Africa but I think Morroco has now surpassed SA. There are also other countries that manufacture cars like Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Kenya and Uganda. Might even be more.

It's simple. They run on generators and solar panels, but they have to refuel the generators.
