That Camry XSE in black is gorgeous. Bravo to Toyota for keeping the V6 engine option! A beautiful engine by the way with the legendary Toyota quality. As nice as the new Kia is it’s not going to last like the Toyota. For me, I would still choose the Camry over the Kia. Its great that the competition is getting better all the time.

That Toyota V6 will be still purring long long after the K5 explodes and don’t forget, resale value. I’d go with the Camry XSE all day. Actually, I did I bought a 21 XSE black on black V6 and I love it.

People buy Toyota's because they last forever. It's never been because they are really good looking cars. It's just a perk that the newer ones finally look decent. Everything you reviewed about this car is spot on. I've rented this car dozens of times. Mostly the 4cyl, once had a 6cyl. It's a great cruiser on the freeway, smooth ride & takes the bumps really well. My son's 2012 Camry has 155k and still going strong. That's why we buy Toyotas. Good job!

Toyota Camry's XSE 4 and 6 cylinders have never been distinctive. When you see an XSE on the road, you assume 6 cylinder when in fact it's a 4 cylinder. Honda does the same with the 2020 1.5 sport and 2.0t sport you see a little badge that denotes 2.0T....no exclusivity overall.

We come to a traffic light where we both will turn LEFT...... I switch from Beethoven to Tupac (starin through my rear view)..... we're side by side one sec and the next I'm gone hitting 81 in a blink and he was nowhere to be seen.........I guess he thought it was a 4 cylinder LOL and Oh yeah, I didn't even switch to "sport mode"

2020 XSE v6 😍😍. Love mine and as quick as the turbos May be you just can’t beat the feel or refinement of a naturally aspirated v6
Looks, red interior, love the tech. I also don’t mind the keyfob because it’s just a key... it goes in your pocket. Also I think this has one of the largest and best heads up displays out there. Infotainment works well. If you hate the color, just change the theme... mines a red theme to match the interior.
Overall, It handles great, rides great, seats are comfy, it’s quiet. Zero complaints. Plus on the highway I can get as high as 40mpg in a v6. In spite of the fuel pump recall, I still believe the Camry will be more reliable than any of its competitors long term
The negatives like lack of memory seats heated rear seats heated wheel or rain sense wipers don’t really apply to me because of all the passengers I’ve taken or let driven my car, not one has said “where’s the memory seats? No heated wheel? No heated rear seats?”
Don’t listen to the people who say the Camry is a bad car. It’s a great car. If it’s the best selling sedan in America (fleet sales or not), it must be doing something right

The matter of fact that all these reviewers keep comparing all other sedans in same class with Camry, it means Camry is the best. I don't understand why they always keep praising other sedans based on little sporty tweaks. When you are buying a mid-size family sedan that means your needs are according to that and you need a car which is balanced in all attributes. If you need a sports car then go buy a corvette or some other! Stop trying to find sportiness in cheap little 4 cylinder family cars 😏

Hey Joe, thanks for the Camry V6 XSE review. It seems that in the price group and car class, there are trade offs. In choosing a car I guess it comes down to limiting the trade offs: want a V6 and reliability go with Camry. Want balance and drive ability go with Accord. Want power, style inside/out and top tech go with Sonata N or Kia K5GT. And price is a HUGE consideration. At 39K even with a V6, the Camry is priced out of the class. At that price, I’m moving up to the next class of car: Stinger, Audi A4, etc.

That's awesome that you'd go with the Kia even over the TRD & you have become one of the best TH-cam auto review personalities, so that goes very far, when someone as experienced as you, says that.

Joe it seems you like the K5 more than the Sonata N line, is that because of the styling or the content of the K5?

Digging the 2020 more than the 2021 XSE V6. I hate this trend of gluing a tablet to the dash, which everyone and their mom's is implementing in their garbage. The wheels on this also look better than the 2021. I agree that steering feels pretty light with not much feedback but that smooth V6 makes up for it. Moral of the story, I'll eventually get a used 2020 XSE V6 in that two-tone white with red interior. As always great work on the video!

The tablet screen imo isn’t bad on the 2021. Rav4 and Corolla yes
Now if you want to see a vehicle that’s even more expensive and has tablet screen placement that’s even worse, check out the ford explorer
