I use a TB-03 and I find that using tie/sustain, slide/legato, using space in between notes, and syncopation is best. Make use of octave changes. Use a low octave bass line with a higher octave melody line mixed in between your bass line notes. Use a call and answer dialog
The hardware synths have cut off frequency , resonance, envelope mod, decay, and accent. You use these knobs to play the instrument as intended for acid house. So making an acid line can be ease but it’s how you evolve a straight sequencer line to change in timber/character so it’s not static. Accent knob I believe is an increase to envelop amplitude so you get a higher amplitude peak, resulting in increased dynamic range/ a difference in how each notes volume changes when accent is applied.
Processing turms use things like reverb delay flanger chorus overdrive fuzz effects to make it sound fluid like or corrosive as these are things that describe acid.

Alex Razor - as above but I like the TT303. It’s got some amazing pattern creation modes!
Otherwise you need a TB303 plug-in but you need to use its sequencer, the sequencer is the key.

lo-fi means low fidelity. You can read about it on wikipedia and look up lofi hiphop or lofi house mixes on youtube to get a reference of how it sounds nowadays. It's not trying to emulate hardware sound and failing. It's trying to emulate home recording flaws in an aesthetic way, almost like filming a movie on a vhs camcorder to give your movie a vintage feel.
