Search for an old war movie called " Bridge of the River Kwai" our man Sir Alec and his battalion of American soldiers are captured by the Japanese, and forced to build a train bridge for the enemy...or die. Yes, in some ways I am showing my age...but this is too relatable for it to be coincidence
For some reason those in charge of the IP seem to be opposed to the idea of him having any sort of narrative depth or complexity of character, along with opposed to him being impressive at all in a fight. As much as I love the 2008 series, its characterization of Grievous was one of its biggest flaws imo. If we ever get a Grievous-focused story out of modern Star Wars, I really hope it goes back to the Legends roots instead of sticking with the current much shallower characterization and backstory.

@Thy Nuts Consumed Grievous was able to fight toe to toe with Mace Windu, could effortlessly kill groups of Jedi on his own (while said groups included council members) and was in general so fast, adaptive and powerful while fighting that he negated any advantage force users had against him 9/10 times. They simply nerfed him into oblivion, just like they flanderized the B1 battle droids so they could market CW as a kid's show.
The plot is a clever homage to The Bridge Over River Quia', a WW2 epic Alec Guiness starred in years before. Much of it up until the finale is literally a beat for beat recreation until the ending.

I literally had a dream last night about Grievous on Hoth, where he accidentally dropped a lightsaber into the snow, melted through into a deep underground cave, then he commissioned an entire separatist mining operation so they could go and find it. So this is strangely relevant.
Still waiting for Crys, the clone who appeared in the episode "The Deserter", to make another appearance as he was a prominent clone in that episode but has never been seen in anything else for some reason.
It's really freaking cool to see Commander Cody and the 212th in their phase 1 snowtrooper gear like we saw with Captain Rex and the 501st wear in the Clone Wars episode Trespass. Good to see clone snowtrooper in orange instead of blue 😊
