Stu getting hit with the phone wasn't in the script. Billy was just supposed to throw it but the blood in his hands made it slip and it hit Matthew Lillard in the back of the head and that was his real reaction. 😄

I can tell you first hand how the reactions to Drew's brutal death was. I saw this opening weekend when I was 12, theater was packed wall to wall, people had to sit on the stairs. When she got killed all you can hear was "WHHAAAAATTTTT, OMG, NOOOOOOO". Best movie theater experience I ever had! Come to think of it, all the Scream films were some of my most memorable experiences at the movies, it's like Christmas lol.
I can only imagine!!!! I just couldnt believe how brutal it was especially for the 90's!!!
Fun Facts:
- So when Tatum said to Dewey that the janitor is your superior its true cause the janitor at the school that was dressed as Freddy Krueger was Wes Craven lol.
- Billy AND Stu were at Casey's and used their girlfriends as Alibis for being out. Stu was on the patio with Steve while Billy was in the front tormenting her on the phone. The question about "Which door am I at" was a trick question. Stu ran to the front door to let Billy in. When her mom was hearing Casey breathing you hear one talking to another saying tree and the the phone ends.
- Wes Craven lol to get his actors into character emotionally like Drew and Neve right before he start to film he would run up to them and tell them something sad like dead puppies and then run off and yell action lol. Drew's emotions were legit cause of Wes and for her love for animals lol.
- They casted Skeet as Billy and gave him the same kind of hair style cause of how close he looked like to young Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street where he also climber through a bedroom window.
- The news lady that was harassing Sidney "how does it feel to almost being butchered" that's Linda Blair from the Exorcist.
- If look really closely when Billy was "stabbed" in the bedroom you can see Stu adding the fake blood onto the knife.
-Casey's comment about Nightmare on Elm Street about how the first was good but the rest sucked. It's because Wes didn't direct all of the other ones lol.
-Kenny actually saved Sidney in his literal final moment after his throat got slashed. He pointed to the back and told her door so she could crawl out.
- Ghostface in the bathroom was a prank on Sidney it wasn't either Billy or Stu.
- Rose (Tatum) was actually able to fit through the doggy door. They had to pin her shirt to the door cause she kept falling out.
- When Billy hit Stu in the head with the phone it was a accident on Skeets part. The fake blood was so sticky and ended up hitting Matthew Lillard instead of the desk and that was a real reaction to it. Wes loved it so he kept it lol. Matthew also improved his lines with "Houston we have a problem" "the peer pressure" and the comment about his parents lol.
- When Billy got stabbed with the umbrella the 2nd time it actually hit Skeet where he had heart surgery when he was younger that was also his real action to the pain.
- Drew Barrymore was supposed to play Sidney. But she ended up changing her mind and went to Wes with a idea to have her as the open kill cause no one would expect it. Also would show if they could kill a huge star right off the bat it would mean NO ONE was safe.
-Even though Billy was at sidneys for the attack. It was actually Stu who she fought with when he was tripping up the stairs you can hear ghostface saying "easy" "easy". The next day at the lockers he was checking his face in tatums mirror for any bruises and when Tatum was hitting him with her sucker he says "easy" "easy.
-Billy was always 1 handed with his killing if he had a knife if didn't he resorts to choking except for Tatum he used the opportunity with the garage door. Stu uses both hands when using the knife and resorts to other tactics if doesn't have knife.
-Stu was the one that called Dewey about the abandon car and also called Randy about the principal after the whole "I'll be right back". Billy killed the principal so they can use him as a deploy to get rest of the guests to leave so the real party can began

@@jaymeetsworld1 Not a problem! I'm a 95 baby and I started watching the 1st two when I was 2 in 97 I knew how to work the VCR because of how religiously I would watch those two. Then my parents took me to see Scream 3 when it was in theaters as a surprise I was 4 at the time in 2000. So people like me and those that did grew up with this and watched them a zillion times you will find all of the little nooks, cranies and details that was put into these movies and it makes Wes Craven even more of a brilliant director. Plus all of the interviews and Horror conversations that they do they would also tell you some of the things that happened behind the scene with Wes himself or just about the cast. Their Horror conventions q&a are on TH-cam. Neve Campbell, Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Lillard are the main ones that do them as well with sometimes Roger L. Jackson the voice of Ghostface and Jamie Kennedy would sometimes but he does have his own TH-cam where he also talks about the horror movies lol. They all are so amazing, humble and sweet its awesome to see!!!
Don't know if you caught this but the actor that plays Randy his name is Jamie Kennedy and he's watching Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween. He's telling Jamie to turn around that he's right behind you all while Ghostface is also behind him where he also needs to turn around lol. It's little things like that truly makes Wes Craven an amazing director with how he puts the little things like that together.

"is that where the scene from Scary Movie comes from" was literally me watching I Know What You Did Last Summer for the first time last year after growing up on the Scary movies 😭
Fun fact not only did the characters of Dewey and Gale had some romantic feelings for each other, the actors also fell in love on the set and not long after even got married

Scream (1996) is one of the most greatest and one of my favorite slasher movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme. It is credit for reinventing and revitalizing the slasher and horror genre which we're considered dead, boring, and repetitive at the time. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍
Fun fact: when billy was stabbed with the umbrella, the second time he was stabbed, was actually real. The scream he did was real
Scream 1996 is so good and you notice more clues each time you watch it.
The sequels are good.
People either love scream 1 and 2 the best or 1 and 4 the best.

5 is different from the rest of the movies while still retaining the satirical,self-aware backbone of the franchise.

What's hilarious about this movie is it was released for christmas (December 20th)... and it worked... I mean people being overexposed to christmas movies would want something different so I'm glad Scream worked but still it's hilarious to imagine people watching people being stabbed and killed on christmas eve.

😂😂 Every time I watch it, I also keep thinking she's gonna say "... and he's big, and he's black..." I've seen the movie between 50-100 times - I've lost track. Point is, I should know better. Maybe it's because I know he's a big, strong football player who can kick axx, and I can't help but visualize a black man as big, strong football player. Shame on me for stereotyping.
