Nothing really mindblowing or anything, but it's a pretty faithful recreation of the original Angel Island from Sonic 3. Feature both the normal and Encore version with Sonic and Knuckles.
Please reply in the comments who found out about the original Angel Island Act 2 song from Ultimate Flash Sonic before finding out it actually came from Sonic 3.

The Encore version color palette is kind of ugly in the 1st Act, especially the seizure inducing waterfalls. Seriously, what is up with that?

I dont know how to change the encore rotating palletes.
And I will admit, i dont really like encore act 1's pallete.
I honestly thought it looked decent, except the waterfalls. I think its a cool idea for the encore palette to be at night
it's meant to be a good future (at least that's what i think it's meant to be)
I did find out about the act 2 song from Ultimate Flash Sonic

I wish Mania Plus had the full zone...

That transition along with the fire part looks like it wasnt fan made
Because when you beat the mini boss in oil ocean in sonic mania the zone goes up in flames that’s why he uses that mini boss and it makes the perfect transition to act 2
i wished the encore mode or plus could like give us new zones
For an update why can't we have 2 bosses in Act 1 the oil ocean boss for the first encounter and the DD wrecker as the boss

Honestly the thing I want most right now is a mod of sonic mania that's basically sonic 3&K even though I don't know if it's even possible to add the hyper forms in the way they did in sonic 3
When I played Sonic 3 I've beaten one of the sub robots for the first boss fight and it dropped nothing but missiles is shooting out flames and from the Act 2 of Angel Island I've beaten the boss fight where Robotnik was using the egg mobile to shoot out Flames it went on invisible for the water in the way that I see it they should bring back Angel Island Act 2 Zone I like the First Act of Angel Island with pretty cool the free Mighty and Ray but I think it's time for Angel Island to make a comeback to play the whole Tire Zone for Sonic Mania plus and I believe act 1 and act 2 for Angel Island should be placed in the Encore mode

That's because a linear version of angel island act 2 was in tails' chase section
I remember Sonic 3 when I beat Angel Island that's when the fleet of the sub robots destroy Angel Island but on the Sonic Mania mod version I didn't realize it's just a mod based off of of a Zone from the boss fight of metal Madness and oil ocean zone see the thing about it is I know so much about Sonic 3 I heard the original theme music of Sonic 3 of Angel Island act 1 and act 2 but act one is pretty good on Angel Island Sonic Mania plus I'm not going to lie about that but actually looks pretty clear does that same from the original Sonic 3
There's a definitive way to experience Angel Island Zone.
It's called (get this):
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Sonic 3 Angel Island Revisited or Sonic 3 Complete are good alternatives

This is not a mod this is just a regular game Angel island is in Sonic Mania and in Sonic Mania Plus
In the regular game, act 2 isn't and it cuts off in the middle of act 1

Yeah, multiple times even, though I don't consider them that hard (especially with the ring system in place). Try platformers from the NES era: first 3 Mega Man games, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, Adventure Island, etc. Now those are hard.

I mostly played batman or rpgs in nes.

The version in Mania Plus is only a portion. This mod is the full zone.

6:40 Angel Island during night time in this mod looks like... It looks extremely weird texture-wise.
I can go on and on... This mod is a major disappointment to me since it hit tries to modernize one of my all-time favorite opening-stages for a video game. I appreciate the effort, but this mod made me feel painfully disappointed.
Probably because there are missing stuff not in the base game? You're free to contribute to the modding scene by making the sprites in Mania's style because this mod uses every elements from the base game
That path was straight forward because i didnt have remastered tiles for those tunnels, and using the base game ones would look weird. So i made simple paths instead of tunnels. I cant make custom bosses, that isnt possible in sonic mania. But I see the unaligned leaves and ugly encore act 1 pallete.
@@skyelineee I agree with your sentiment, but saying something isn't possible is just plain wrong. It's possible, people just don't know how to do it yet.
