I started my channel at 58 years old when I retired and two and a half years later I have a new career. What a whirlwind. Thanks for your content Sean.
This was great! I started my channel a year ago but was too insecure to put myself out there so kept delaying it. 3 weeks ago I had a word with myself and started to do it the right way. In 3 weeks I'm over 1K subs, 24,000 views and so many lovely messages. Best thing I've ever done at the ripe old age of 52 lol. The legacy thing is absolutely real. My grandkids will see me long after I'm gone and maybe learn some art 😂
I started a couple years ago and just got serious about it the last 6 months! Right now I feel like I could be doing something better to get more views and subs… just not sure what! I also do artsy videos. My goal is $1000 a month revenue. Fingers crossed.
Being a TH-camr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame- ster of course) will always pay off at the end.
A few remarks brought me to tears! So true! When he said if he died tomorrow his children can learn about him through his videos. This made me decide for sure to press record, thank you ❤️
TH-cam never fails to amaze me how old videos can do well. Make the best video you can, sometimes it doesn't do well and you scratch your head and it doesn't make sense that it didn't pop Then a year or two down the line, it just takes off. I have seen it happen so many times 😊
Yep! I had a three year old video take off and it’s still the highest ranking of views per month!! I have made similar videos since but they haven’t done as well…yet. 😊
Sean your piece on legacy is 100% my words to my wife when I started our channel. EXACTLY word for word. I said you mock me now but when I leave this earth you will watch these videos on repeat. She chuckle…hmmm DOH!! 😮
I just started making shorts… to dip my toe in. I gave myself deadlines to post a video of two weeks. Gotta start somewhere. Thank you for sharing this discussion
I started a channel a long time ago too. And like you I finally got serious. Now I have 230 subs. I didn’t start a new channel. I just got specific on the one I created and started doing videos for a particular audience. Hope that helps.
Sean, your story at GWVL this year was so open and inspirational, and your courage in being your open genuine self on your platform just shows me how even someone who is an established pro is growing that much more each production/project/iteration. Glad I got to do the bingo and meet our mutual friend, Jeremy. I got to be the most open I have been with people in the industry because I have wanted to avoid being blackballed. Now I get, just get good and be real. Thanks man, I hope we can do a talk like this when my main channel catches wind. The recent guest you had with the uneducatedeconomist was appealing and true to the content I started on this channel. But we iterate and grow. Keep going!
I love the Legacy part you spoke about. If all else fails...my kids have something to remember me by and hopefully be inspired by. TH-cam is for sure a marathon, and after pivoting from one niche to another and being inconsistent with uploading, I hope to crawl back out on top. And 'top' means something different for different people...my success will not look like someone elses.
Every morning I wake up feeling like no mater how long it takes, and whatever my videos are about; I will never make it on TH-cam because I am not good enough. But then, I listen to you and boom; I just hit record. I took your advice from yesterday. Today I am first writing my content, and rehearsing it, before recording. So I save my listeners time. And from here on out, this will be my approach to every video. I need to first support myself in every way I can; especially since all I have is an iPhone X camera. 😂
I’m also posting just shorts for now staying consistent and i’m amazed how easily you can get views with not that much subscribers. That was almost impossible few years ago! So excited 🤩🙌🏻🎥 to share more content and see what can happen in only one year of posting consistently 🤩🥰💃🏻
I started TH-cam this month, and my opinion is "selling" information is an underrated business With unlimited income potential, TH-cam is definitely one of many place where we can "sell" information through the content we create. I hope I can also create useful informational content for my audience
This was a incredible interview! I have three channels with very slow growth..and views are declining. 6 months in and I have 534 subscribers..its a long road.
You mentioned that new channels are getting priority from the current algorithm. I have an old channel with unrelated content that I just repurposed to start my new business content. Changed the name & url, deleted old videos, etc. Would it be better to start completely from scratch in light of the algorithm changes or keep going since I already have subscribers on this channel?
I'm starting to get back into my channel after two years with almost 2k subs. I wonder how the YT algorithm will treat my channel- a new small creator?
New content creator here @1.7k subs. My approach is to utilize my YT channel to get my website and brand out to publishers, agencies. This way there is less pressure to succeed as a YT creator allowing me to build an income from a few different income streams. Great channel, thanks for the advice!
I've had a TH-cam channel for several years with sporadic posts here and there. Some are starting to get traction. My question is, should I start a new channel to take advantage of new channel algorithms or stay on my current one?Is delete old videos harmful if i know they are bad and want to redo them?
It seems everyone is still relying too heavily on the charts now. Imho, when the ETF's stepped into Crypto it changed the game. The Bitcoin Baby has been born and will grow up fast. The Crypto Market now has a rubber stamp of approval. Wall Street is in the game now and It will become the store of value we have been talking about. The rules are already changing. We would have normally had a corrective retrace by now, yet Bitcoin has been steadily rising. The name of the game is getting out with profit, but when exactly to get out this Super Cycle is going to be a tricky one. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 3.4Bitcoin to a decent 18Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
No… you don’t have “only” 98 subs. Those are real people looking to be served and valued. Look beyond the numbers and you will see that even just one person can be game changing if you deliver value and they are the right person
@@Creativityboostpodcast You're absolutely right. It's a mentality shift I need nothing is coming easy. I was asking more so on a algorithm basis but you're right.
I was thinking the same thing, Its probably pointers on a screen. I was trying to figure out how he so effortlessly remembers all of that without needing 1 cut in between. That should make a great video ... Mastering speaking skills
If you had an og account that went viral in very early youtube with 500k subs but didnt create for a few year's is it worth starting a new account at the moment???
May as well just use that account. The whatever podcast didn’t post for like 5 years and their podcast blew up, I think in part because the channel already had 4m subscribers when they started
Rear Shean, you of all people should know, there is no such thing as "fine wine". It is a misleading Info about the most dangerous and utmost leathal-legal drug in the world. This fact alone is why I - as a Medium and Soberheroe - am starting my own Channel now about those topics. It is worth serving my Purpose. Thanks, Soul... 😅 what a piece of 🎂 Despite the correcting message, I love your Content deeply and it helps so much - especially with the mindset topics; resonating very much. Developing yourself might be a better way of conveying the 'reinvention' of yourself.
Who do you want to become to serve The Master?
Who is the woman on your video!!? You would make a lovely couple...
