    Had my MG4 LFP battery version for 18 months now, purchased on a PCP, monthly payment similar to a lease but had to find some money up front. The only issue I have had is failure of the button on the drivers door handle. Tip - don't use the button if it's frozen. The car has been amazing, fastest, smoothest, best handling car I've ever owned. Easily does 4 mkwh. Hope they release the estate version as that's all I am missing in the car.

      Ours had a broken button - got it replaced under warranty. Good tip about the frozen weather - we got our ex-demo in February so maybe someone had recently attempted a frozen push.

    I think the best EV deals are second hand Tesla model 3's. Tonnes around the £15k mark for 4-5 year old cars that were over £50 new.

      @SpeakToTheGeekTech  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I’d probably agree with that but I really wanted the peace of mind of a warranty for now. Maybe a second hand model 3 might be a fun second car to replace my diesel Duster in a year or two

      Given the rate at which Elon is screwing Tesla, I'm concerned they don't represent a great long term choice any more. The other manufacturers have caught up and are starting to overtake them at a tech level, and at some point soon these will overtake them on value too.

      @@SpeakToTheGeekTech I hope you can figure it out. My main issue is that the car disconnects from the servers within hours after shutdown meaning I can't activate the AC remotely without first sitting in the car again. Negates the whole purpose of having remote commands in the first place. I don't care so much that it logs me out of the iSmart app cause the app is rubbish to begin with and if I can replicate all it's features in HA I'll just do that. The disconnects need to be sorted though, and I don't know how to do that. :(

      @@decimal1815 I’ve done 3 long trips, 2 off them 600mile round. It was the second one that was the only one that caused me any issues.
      I did it over 2 days instead of having a rest day before returning. It was a hot day. I stuck to motorways. Pushed 70mph. Some of the route was hilly.
      As expected the car wasn’t happy on its 3rd rapid charge for the day (sixth or seventh charge over 2days). It super slow charged and went into turtle mode as soon as I returned to the motorway.
      A 15 minute cool down break in a lay-by and sensible driving the rest of the way and the car was fine.
      That was about a month ago. No issues since. Nearing 60,000 on the clock. Only ever rapid chargers. Battery still showing a full set of bars.
      I’ve learnt my lesson. Don’t rush, treat the car with a bit more respect.

However, quite often you will find that dealerships are offering equal or better deals directly through a private HP or PCP. The second hand EV market is also starting to take off, albeit slowly due to less supply, but I think in 4 years there will be a lot of choice especially with new budgets EVs (like MG4, Renault 5 and Dacia Spring) all moving on to their second owners as finance deals expire. Well we should have made better EVs here in the UK at a reasonable price instead of farting about with that I-Pace and other inefficient expensive follies!

      Same as with most cars I’ve driven with LKA, if you don’t indicate when overtaking then it’ll do its best to yank you back into the lane regardless of what is in your path!

    You cannot say you are environmental friendly !
    2 EV in few years apart (and another one in 4 years), one from china… all of that pollution would be worse than any ICE car !
